They will go to Hillary?
Talking about cutting off your nose, to spite your face...
Hillary Clinton also practically locked in the nomination last night and most of Bernies supporters would never vote for her (30%, according to one estimate).
Since when is 30% "most?"
And anyone who ever supported Cruz who could eventually vote for Hillary, is one very, very, very confused person.
The Cruz supporters probably stayed home and refused to vote for Romney. For a lot of them, no one is religiously pure enough.
So 3% of Trump supporters will vote for Clinton?!? I guess that is why these polls have “margins of error”.
Interesting, but with 6 months ahead before the election we’ll be in an entirely different world then.
Let them pout. It’s getting late. Trump needs to start pounding Clinton.
Whether Trump unifies the party or not is really only up to Trump.
If he wants to there are a lot of phone calls and apologies to make. If he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. It’s really entirely up to him whether he unifies the party or not.
Does he want to borrow Kasich’s Ohio organization or create a new one? If he does, he knows what he needs to do, and he probably needs to do it publicly. That crap about the disgusting eating was about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard a politician say, A completely random personal attack against someone who isn’t a threat and you need something from him very badly. Does he make up? It’s really up to Trump. Can he make good for his vulgarities? Or is Trump just Trump?
I hope Trump considers Col West for the VP slot.
I am Tea Party.
I am a Cruz supporter/voter.
I will now work for and support Mr. Trump.
Seriously folks, can it really be any other way?
Being an adult, works every time it’s tried.
Time will tell...
All eyes on Hillary.....
POLLS?
Why do we place such importance on polls when they have so often been so wrong and obviously used as news shapers more than news reporting?
Hillary Clinton was a slam dunk in WI vs Sanders up until the last couple of weeks and Clinton had a 7 point advantage in Indiana right up until the final day before the election.
CNN poll has Clinton by 13 points while Rasmussen has Trump up by 2 points. WTF!
Poll after poll says Trump has high negatives but in the primary races turnout has set all time records for Republicans and the voters turned out for Trump.
We know that many more Dem voters have switched to Rep than vice versa and new registrations are heavily in favor of Republicans this cycle.
In 1992 at this time in the race for the WH Bill Clinton trailed Bush by some 30 points and in 1980 Reagan trailed Carter right up until near the end of October.
In a Gallup poll on October 26th in 1980, two weeks before the election, Gallup had it Jimmy Carter 47, Ronald Reagan 39. That election two weeks later ended up in a landslide that was so big that Carter conceded before California closed.
The New York Times verified this poll,
Ronald Reagan, who trailed President Jimmy Carter 47 percent to 39 percent in a survey completed on Oct. 26, 1980.
As did Wikipedia,
Arguably the most important event of the entire 1980 presidential campaign was the second presidential debate, which was held one week to the day before the election (October 28).[24] On October 26, two days prior to the debate, Gallup released a survey that suggested that Carter was leading Reagan by a margin of 47% to 39%.
A Gallup Poll of July 26, 1988, showed Michael S. Dukakis leading George H. W. Bush by 17 points. The New York Times reported,
In the aftermath of the Democratic National Convention, the party’s nominee, Michael S. Dukakis, has expanded his lead among registered voters over Vice President Bush, the probable Republican nominee, according to a Gallup Poll.
Until things got serious, most Cruz supporters’ second choice was Trump (and visa versa). Then the pushing and shoving started. I do think, now that the nominee is chosen, almost all Cruzaders will come around and support Trump. I’m not as confident about moderate Republicans. But, how many people are we talking about? Plus, Trump will get many more Democrat-crossovers than Clinton will get Republican-crossovers. The net crossover vote will be very positive for Trump.
That 20% of Cruz supporters supporting Clinton are NOT conservative and never were. They were snakes in the grass.
