I have seen people repeating over and over again that Ted Cruz is a liar. I've seen Trump refer to him as "Lyin' Ted", but I have not actually seen any real evidence that Cruz has lied about anything.

Do you have some sort of example?

he claims Trump is against guns; Trump (and all of his sons, it's a family thing)is Pro 2nd Amendment, period.

He says Trump is Pro Choice; Trump, who cites the experience a friend of his had regarding almost having an abortion, instead choosing to have the beautiful child, is Pro Life, period.

He continuosly says that Trump has no path to 1237, when he rather easliy does.

This is all known in Bible parlance as, "Thou Shalt not bear false witness."

I was for Cruz; he lost me with all that.

On what occasion did Cruz assert that Trump is against guns? A quick check of the internet reveals an ad was created that made such an assertion, but it didn't come from the Cruz Campaign, it came from "Our Principles PAC", which is a Mitt Romney, "Establishmenty" sort of group.

He says Trump is Pro Choice; Trump, who cites the experience a friend of his had regarding almost having an abortion, instead choosing to have the beautiful child, is Pro Life, period.

In 1999 Donald Trump said:

“I’m very pro-choice,” Trump says. “I hate the concept of abortion. I hate it. I hate everything it stands for. I cringe when I listen to people debating the subject. But you still — I just believe in choice.”

Is it not reasonable to argue that the man has been on both sides of the fence, but currently is asserting a Pro-Life Position? Is it unreasonable to assert that his true feelings lie with his position that he had before running for President on the Pro-Life party ticket?

I do not characterize it as a lie for Cruz to point this out, Despite Trump saying he is currently pro-life. For someone from New York, the man is an extreme minority if he advocates a Pro-Life position in the New York social groups to which he belongs. It is the opposite of what the vast majority there believe.

He continuosly says that Trump has no path to 1237, when he rather easliy does.

That's not a lie, that is (was) an unknown and wishful thinking. I think Cruz believed he would do better in states like Indiana, and by his reckoning, he probably thought Donald couldn't make it over the line.

This is all known in Bible parlance as, "Thou Shalt not bear false witness."

I was for Cruz; he lost me with all that.

Well seeing as how you really haven't established any thing he said as a lie, how do you feel about applying that "false witness" principle to accusations against him?

I'm not asking you to support Cruz. At this point it won't make any difference, but I am asking you and everyone else to look at this stuff more honestly.

I've seen people constantly repeating vicious accusations, and I am constantly being surprised at how low people will stoop to try to help their guy.

Why must we do this with people in *OUR* party? It's one thing to do it to the Democrats, (which I still don't condone) but it is quite a different thing to malign and backbite against people who have worked and fought to advance the party.

Why can't we all be honest in our criticisms? Why must we make things up? And then why must others constantly repeat these made up things without bothering to check to see if they are true or not?
