The Black Lies Matter movement has brought the challenges facing black America to the fore, and introduced racially conscious quality-of-life questions into the national debate. How are black residents in America's cities faring? And how are those cities doing in meeting the aspirations of their black residents, judged especially by the ultimate barometer: whether blacks choose to move to these cities, or stay in them?
Though results vary to some extent, the broad trend is clear: West Coast progressive enclaves are either seeing an exodus of blacks or are failing to attract them. Midwestern and Northeastern urban areas are attracting blacks to the extent that they are affordable or providing middle class economic opportunities. And Southern cities are now experiencing the most significant gains.
Portland is part of the fifth-whitest major metropolitan area in America. Almost 75% of the region is white, and it has the third-lowest percentage of blacks, at only 3.1%. (America as a whole is 13.2% black.) Portland proper is often portrayed as a boomtown, but the city's shrinking black population doesn't seem to think so. The city has lost more than 11.5% of its black residents in just four years. It's similar to Seattle, where the central city's black population has fallen as the overall region's has grown.

What is happening with the other minorities? In Los Angeles, areas that were more black have seen more latinos moving in, and they have the numbers and gang presence to make the blacks want to move out. Blacks are only about 12 percent of the population nationally, right? So it’s a skewed picture if you only look at them vs. whites. All the other groups need to be taken into account.
Exactly. My high school (in South L.A.) was predominately black when I went there in the 80's. It's now 80% Hispanic.
I grew up in Norcal. Moved out of state for good. Back for a visit I was shocked to see my old Burger King on Broadway in Oakland had gone from 100% black employees to 100% Mexican/Hispanic in just the few years I was gone. Once they get a Mexican manager who hires all Mexicans the blacks are SOL.

True, stats from past elections have just under 95% of "Blacks" voting Socialist DemoRat, we'll see if that continues in November.

That is accurate, but pretty much everybody fleeing those areas are fleeing for that reason, including Progressive Liberal Socialists, who immediately engage in setting up Progressive Liberal Socialist DemoRat local governments in the places they flee to.
If you will recall, Progressive Liberal Socialist DemoRats came to California from Massachusetts and New York when they turned city life miserable there.

Partially, it’s Mexican invaders to blame, but mostly cost of living is driving them out. Most whites can’t afford San Fran, Seattle, San Diego, LA or Portland either.
The "cost of living" in the Liberal Socialist Progressive DemoRat run hellholes is entirely caused by Liberal Socialist Progressive DemoRat policy and governance.
So why isn't it forcing the Mexicans out?
Not cheap to live in those places. Especially for people who aren’t working.

I can’t speak for the Midwest, but Northeastern urban areas have little “middle class economic opportunities”; much of that work has left. I don’t know why that is even mentioned; most blacks in the NYC metro area aren’t seeking (or qualified for) middle class economic opportunities. Unskilled people of any color moving to the Northeast want free sh!t, nothing more.
They are more willing to live 20 to a house than blacks.
Yep, it has been an economic purging of working and middle class Americans.
