Getting congress to stop giving it away. The waste is atrocious. The feds are into just everything so they can blackmail the states....and us (like Obamacare).
Get rid of the Education Dept. It's absolutely unnecessary....and let the banks handle the college loans.

Sounds like he meant, in eight years he could put the US back into a position to get it paid off sometime before infinity.

I knew this from a few days ago from a foreign news source but as the nomination clearly becomes his, we will see alot more of this shift more to the left.
Pretty soon, we’ll have two candidates that will agree with each other by the time the first debate comes around this fall

The USA imports approximately $1.6Trillion per year. A 20% across the board import tariff eliminates the deficit tomorrow.

The only way the national debt is going anywhere is through default. There’s no conceivable way we can pay it down. Now if a nation like KSA holds that debt... that would be awesome.

There are a lot of federal buildings and properties that could be sold to pay down the debt.
And opening up mineral rights, fishing rights, logging rights will generate income.
Letting people who already HAVE rights and leases would do a lot, from oil drilling to mining to fishing. That would boost the economy and create jobs.

It’s nice to have a politician who doesn’t use a canned speech and thus makes mistakes or dramatic statements. Makes it more interesting. Reporters are supposed to ask questions and find out details. Gives them something to do besides grabbing the candidate and trying to sue the staff.

Trump was asked how his pledge to pay off the $19 trillion debt in 10 years was possible. "No, I didnt say 10 years," --------------------- Well, he is correct He said eight years, not 10...lol

He will be disappointing greatly all those admiring fans as he changes the tune on all his supposed platform positions. He is not who he says he is, except maybe one who cares less than little girls getting assaulted in bathrooms.
Trump’s platform:

can anyone see which of these will be broken by him?
To: GIdget2004
Just how does he plan to “refinance” the debt? He’s thinking in terms of business plans and any govt bureaucracy has NOTHING to do with a business that has to balance its books.
