Oslo, Norway (CNN) — Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has won part of his lawsuit against the state over his solitary confinement in a high-security prison, a court announced Wednesday.

The Oslo district court found the 37-year-old's treatment in prison violated Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, prohibiting "inhuman or degrading treatment," and ruled that his conditions must be eased.

The court also ordered the government to pay legal costs of 331,000 kroner ($40,600) for the right-wing extremist, who killed 77 people in a shooting rampage and bombing attack in 2011.

I've read elsewhere that one of Breivik’s complaints is that the prison would not upgrade his Playstation to a newer model.

On so many levels Western Europe is finished.

Breivik did tremendous damage to the anti-immigrant cause. Now everyone who stands for Borders, Language and Culture, is unfortunately associated with him.

Right-Wing extremist?

gave a Nazi salute on his first day in court -- was using his court appearance as a platform to publicize his extremist ideology.

Ummm, that would be a National Socialist salute.

National. Socialism.

O offense but he could have been a drugged patsy fed full of rhetoric just to get him to do exactly that, damage the anti immigrant movement by such an act.

Its not like patsies havent been used before to destroy another sides reputation/position. To be then used by the other side, who can claim its no straw man they are referencing. Only a very very small few would know the truth, and they can be controlled or killed as needed.

I read that the murders were done partially to make a mockery of Norway’s laws, which limit the length of prison sentences to 21 years no matter how heinous the crime. I suspect this lawsuit is also intended to make a mockery of EU laws.

Dear god man, this isn’t the Alex Jones forum, get a grip. Conservatives believe in personal responsibility. He killed them, so he’s responsible.

Of course. THis is justice. Just like not permitting people who believe in crucifying, beheading, burning alive and stoning to death other people for no real reason can’t be waterboarded because its “cruel and unusual.

We need more than a wall along the Mexican border. We need one around the ENTIRE country to keep these foreign liberal socialists OUT of here!

This guy should have been finished off with a bullet to the head after his trial concluded. Another example of why we don’t want to adopt Euro-style policies here as his highness Barack would like.
