Channels get paid by subscriber if it is in your package they get paid.
The channels pushing this crap far outnumber the channels that are not.
The only way not to fund them is to cut the cord. Cancel your cable. Otherwise, you are paying for the rope they will hang you with.
I cut my cable years ago when my son was very young. He did not miss it. He watched DVDs. I had total control over what he watched.
Haven’t had cable for the last 7 years. Can’t say we have missed anything of significance at all - and have not had to burden myself with TV ads. Every time I travel and am somewhere that has cable I am somewhat shocked (read not shocked at all) at how little of interest there is on.
