Brother Phil delivered the pre-race invocation on April 9th at the Texas Motor Speedway’s Duck Commander 500. And it was a mighty fine invocation, indeed.
“I pray Father that we put a Jesus-Man in the White House,” he prayed. “Help us do that and help us all to repent, to do what is right, to love you more and to love each other. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.”

Well he could church-con his way in.
And if I didn’t actually believe it was a hideous sin to do so, I would be sore tempted to coach him on just how to do it.
I understand the feeling, the emotion of our Duck Rednecks, but they “are not according to knowledge” as Paul puts it.
“God, fill the churches with Jesus men and let the government be fair and unpretentious.” This is what I’d recommend as a prayer.

At one time the people had to choose between Jesus Man Baptist Jimmah Cawtuh who’d been married to the same woman all his life and a twice-married Californian who once signed the most liberal pro-abortion law in the country as Governor of California.
The people made the right choice because they know that the place for Jesus Man is in church or Sunday School.
