Obama Admin Apologizing for America Winning World War II
The Federalist ^ | 12 Apr 2016 | David Harsanyi

Our new motto: Strength through moral equivalence

When John Kerry toured the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Museum this week before meeting foreign ministers at the G-7 Summit, Reuters reports that he had witnessed “haunting displays [of] photographs of badly burned victims, the tattered and stained clothes they wore and statues depicting them with flesh melting from their limbs.”

“It is a stunning display. It is a gut-wrenching display,” explained Kerry. “It is a reminder of the depth of the obligation every one of us in public life carries … to create and pursue a world free from nuclear weapons.”

Iran exempted, of course.

But, really, is this the lesson of Hiroshima? That those in public life have an obligation to do away with nuclear weapons? A lot of people might argue that existence of those weapons have saved lives from broader world conflicts and conventional warfare. That includes ending the Second World War sooner.

What a moron, Kerry apparently hasn’t got a clue as to how many more lives, Japanese and American would have been lost if the BOMBS weren’t dropped.

The Japanese were not shy about bombing civilians in Shanghai or anywhere else.

As Lord Mountbatten said, “the decision to use atomic weapons was made in a total war context and it has never been viewed that way since.”

For those who cry “racism” at the use of the a-bomb one only needs to look toward the similar treatment of white Europeans in the fire bombings of Hamburg, Dresden, Cologne, and other German cities with cumulative death tolls close to those of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was war and we fought to win.

If the firebombing of Tokyo (killing over 100,000) couldn’t convince them to surrender, only nuclear detonations could have. An invasion of Japan would’ve killed millions. Dropping Little Boy and Fat man was a tactical and moral imperative.

It was war and we fought to win.

And it was the LAST war we fought to win.

Well, at least Kerry did more than his share of work in making sure that America DIDN’T win in Vietnam.

A Pacific Islander, who lived under Japanese occupation, was told that the US had dropped 2 bombs that wiped out 2 cities and killed over 200,000 Japanese.

He said: “Why did you stop”.

...this GOPe Congress are the ones backing Cruz....for now. More new rules to come and they hope new candidate and it will not be Cruz or Trump. Trump can take them out and thwart their plans... I use to think that Cruz would be part of this, too bad he has embraced the establishment Bush Globalists. #NeverCruz

There is, literally, no point of comparison between today’s America and the nation that won WW2.

More horrific than the maritime personnel that had their skin melted off alive in perl harbor?

TRUMP [on the Larry King Show (April 15, 2009), referring to the then newly elected communist president (Obama)]: "Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration [GW Bush] was a total disaster, a total catastrophe."
