ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE BISHOP OF LEGNICA /pron. legnitsa/

On the Eucharistic Miracle in St. Jack Parish in Legnica

(translated from Polish)

Sisters and Brothers in Our Lord Jesus Christ!

As The Bishop of Legnica I hereby announce to the public and inform about an event that took place in the parish of St. Jack in Legnica which has the signs of the Eucharistic miracle. On 25th December, 2013 during the distribution of the Holy Communion, a consecrated Host fell to the floor and then was picked up and placed in a water-filled container (vasculum). Soon after, stains of the red colour appeared.  The former Bishop of Legnica, Stefan Cichy, set up a commission to observe the phenomenon. In February 2014, a tiny red fragment of the Host was seperated and put on a corporal. The Commission ordered to take samples in order to conduct the thourough tests by the relevant research institutes.

In the final announcement of the Department of Forensic Medicine we read as follows:  In the histopathological image, the fragments of tissue have been found containing the fragmented parts of the cross striated muscle. (...) The whole (...)  is most similar to the heart muscle with alterations that often appear during the agony. The genetic researches indicate the human origin of the tissue.

In January this year I presented the whole matter to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in the Vatican. Today, according to the recommendations of the Holy See, I ordered the parish vicar Andrzej Ziombro to prepare a suitable place for a display of the Relic so that the faithful could give it the proper adoration. Hereby, I also ask for providing the visitors with information and conducting the regular teaching that could help the faithful to have the proper attitude to the eucharistic cult. I also command to form a book to register all received benefits and other miraculous events.

I hope that this will serve to deepen the cult of the Eucharist and will have deep impact on the lives of people facing the Relic. We see the misterious Sign as an extraordinary act of love and goodness of God, who comes to humans in ultimate humiliation.

I cordially ask for your prayer and I bless you

+ Zbigniew Kiernikowski

The Bishop of Legnica

The text of the announcement for those who may speak Polish:

KOMUNIKAT BISKUPA LEGNICKIEGO

w sprawie wydarzenia o znamionach cudu eucharystycznego w parafii św. Jacka w Legnicy

Siostry i Bracia w Chrystusie Panu!

+ Zbigniew Kiernikowski

BISKUP LEGNICKI

If this is true, then they can get a DNA profile of Jesus.

A typo in the title!

It is:                 Eucharistic miracle in Lednica, Poland!
It should be:   Eucharistic miracle in Legnica, Poland!

That would make an awesome mini-series; the second coming of Jesus through DNA technology..

I believe Jesus died and rose again, and every Sunday I celebrate it with the Lord's Supper, with bread and wine.

But this, this is nonsense.

I wonder if the Polish police are wondering why there are human remains on the floor near this altar?

Thanks very much for the ping, SandRat. When I see this kind of narrative I am at the outset skeptical. On initial inquiry, I would be inclined to reject anything that varies from our "scientific" understanding of the Universe.

Yet I have known many competent scientists, including my Father, who held an abiding belief in Christianity, with its mysteries and miracles. My own understanding is that Our Lord is immanent and omniscient. I believe in the Real Presence of our Risen Lord at the Eucharist, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Given that, there is no thing that could happen on Earth that I would reject out of hand. I will prescind from judgment on this event pending further investigation, and thank you again for bringing it to my attention.

Before 1945, Legnica, Poland was Liegnitz, Germany.

John 6 is all about this “nonsense.” The folly of God is wiser than the wisdom of man, until God performs what appears to be folly?

The same *scientific* result obtained regarding the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano, Italy (which happened in the 900s and still exists). Striated human heart muscle in agony. And Jesus has type AB blood.

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. To God be the glory.

God has provided signs of His Truth over the centuries.

There are many Eucharistic Miracles documented. Feel free to read the book Eucharistic Miracles by Joan Carroll Cruz.

I read this and I reflect on this comment by candidate Donald Trump response to a Presbyterian group which has gone unnoticed or ignored. There he flippantly compared recieving rgw sacred host to as eating a cracker.

Why should any Catholic vote for a guy who compares going to Holy Communion as eating a cracker as well as ridicule confession ? Have as many wives as Henry de VIII, boast about his maritial infidelitys, and even jokingly suggest insest.

Worst of all not show any comprenension as to that the current strategy ammounts to a war on traditional values fostered by Christians. Because they oppose the Godless movement. A tradition that stands in opposition to the Godless (remember their 2012 convention) democrat (in name only but in reality socialist) party.

The parrish where I attend mass and sing with its small choir has many Polish immigrants in attendance and they can be spotted by the their formal attire. Babushkas, suits, and certainly no short shorts or flip flops. I find not only respectfull but inspirational.

God can make monkeys fly out of your butt, but you would really have to be a stranger to Him to expect that.
