What a waste of time and effort on the part of Hoft. At this point, no Cruz supporter seriously expects him to walk into the convention with 1,237. It’s all about Donald not getting to 1,237 and the resultant open convention.

If that’s the case then it is the Cruzers who are delusional: NO convention will allow Cruz to win, so he is just as mean and stupid as the GOPe for throwing in with the establishment. My inclination to dump Cruz a year ago was correct.

"At this point, no Cruz supporter seriously expects him to walk into the convention with 1,237. It’s all about Donald not getting to 1,237 and the resultant open convention."

And therein lies the intellectual dishonesty of both the Cruzlims and the GOPe. Primaries are supposed to be about voting for the person you support most, and letting the best man win, then rallying around that person. In the case of the GOPe, this primary has become about a full court press to stop the one candidate that threatens their slop trough. They have no, "best man," and would be perfectly happy to see Hillary inaugurated in January. The Tedsters run the gamut in their reasons for supporting Cruz. Some do legitimately believe he is the best candidate and more power to them. They should vote for him and if he comes out on top, everybody should rally around him. Having said that, Ted is garnering more and more support of those in the Stop Trump at all costs movement and of course Ted and his true believers are happy to get their support even if it costs their souls to do so.

we all know that cruz won’t get the numbers needed and it was over for him after FL. Yet he is still there , because he has become a establishment hack and those voting for him now are helping the GOP to get their contested convention, thus they are now party hacks pretending or denying they are.

...and nominating Paul Ryan.

The Cruz campaign has turned into just another #NeverTrump effort.

I feel bad for Cruz supporters at this point. They think they are working to get Cruz the nomination. They’re not. They are working to stop Trump.

The GOP is signaling that they have no intention of giving the nomination to Cruz, all you have to do is listen to hear. Cruz, I’m sure, knows this, yet he still solicits donations for his own campaign.

It’s all about Donald not getting to 1,237 and the resultant open convention.

Which also means no Cruz since NO WAY the GOPe will nominate Cruz. They want Ryan or Romney.

And as shown in the chart, Hoft estimates that Trump will only need 284 coming out of 4/26 to make 1237. There will be 634 delegates still available.

All a moot issue on 4/27, of course.

Exactly, this is nothing but Cruz working as part of the establishment GOP to keep Trump from getting the votes. Same with Kasich. He hasn’t a snowball’s chance in Hell yet he still keep trying to siphon off votes from Trump.
