It was the Rubio campaign and the StopTrump folks that put out the information. For your edification go to twitter in search enter #TheThing scroll down to March 10-13 and read the comments hidden among the others. It was planned to be released prior to Super Tuesday to help Rubio by taking Cruz down a notch or two. Everyone was anticipating the story then.
Cruz had to know the story was coming out. Why did he poke the bear with the Melania ad - was it for diversion? Did he think now is the time to get this over with so it could hopefully be “old news”?
The Cruzs seem to be the GOPe Clintons.
