The National Enquirer on Friday reported that Ted Cruz has had multiple trysts with women who aren't the one he described as "the love of my life," wife Heidi Cruz.
"It is garbage, complete & utter lies. It is a tabloid smear and it has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen," the Texas senator told reporters on Friday

Another alleged "mistress," former Cruz communications director Amanda Carpenter, was asked about the report on CNN.

Did you miss the parts about Ted’s campaign manager is the one who ordered the picture of Melania? Did you miss the part where Donald Trump and Roger Stone and America Media denied the story came from them?
They print a boatload of false stories and rarely, if ever, get sued. Most people figure it’s not worth the extra publicity you give the false charge.
Ted’s more interested in focusing on the issues, which is something Trump has not done and will not do, because he knows he loses if he does.
Dr. Michael Savage, a strong Trump supporter, said he checked his sources and the story is absolutely not true.
Savage checked out the ownership of the National Enquirer and found it was owned by a guy who is a close personal friend of Trump’s and sourced to Roger Stone, Trumnp’s chief political advisor.

I used to like Donald Trump. Then this campaign unfolded. I was still likely to hold my nose if he got nominated. Then this sort of thing began to dominate the campaign.
Either Trump or Clinton would make Dick Nixon look like a saint.
Roger Stone, the Sleazemaster General and Trump's chief political adviser, gives a sleazy story to the National Enquirer, a tabloid known for false stories that is owned by a man who is a personal friend of Trump's and has riffen on Trump's personal plane numerous times.
And I'm supposed to believe Trump had no knowledge of it? Seriously?

The anti-Trump ad included a disclaimer at the bottom, reading, “Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.”
Nevertheless, Fox’s Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Andrea Tantaros, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Lou Dobbs each claimed this week that the Melania-themed Trump attack was the work of a pro-Cruz PAC.
