NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A state lawmaker from Knoxville said Wednesday that ISIS should be allowed to recruit at the University of Tennessee and other state universities during discussion about a bill protecting free speech on college campuses.

The bill, called the “Tennessee Student Free Speech Protection Act,” is sponsored by Rep. Martin Daniel (R-Knoxville) and would require the governing boards of Tennessee higher education institutions to adopt a policy on freedom of speech and expression. Martin said during a subcommittee meeting that he believed students’ free speech had been diminished due to unfair policies.

Recruiting for an army in hostile action against the US is a crime where I come from.

Free speech is not a suicide pact.

Did you know you have free speech at any government University. Absolutely, without question.

I’m speechless. (But we’d hardly notice the difference from today’s campus situation where Muslim front organizations are very active recruiting and propagandizing and terrorizing or threatening or intimidating Christians and Jews, anyway)

thanks to Obama and his mass-scale importation of the Islamic invasion forces (noting that most of them are male youth, that is..military age... and they tend to go to college here because its almost always Paid For by USA taxpayers .. and its a very easy place they can recruit and demonstrate and propagandize)

Great idea. It’ll make finding the local terrorists easier.

By his reckoning, Nazis should’ve been free to recruit on American college campii during WW2. He’s an idiot, and hopefully will be primaried.

Crap like this would be flushed down the crapper where they belong IF Congress decalred ISIS the enemies of the West that theya re. BUT, since our current regime manufactured this terrorist org, that will not happen. Sadly, there is no longer a societal taboo structure to shame fools like this. PC and pernicious tolerance of evil have done their intended job ...

Aiding and abetting the enemy should cost more than being voted out of office.

Arrest, trial conviction then the punishment for treason.

Obama, Clinton, Rahm, Holder have done worse.

If justice was done, rope futures would skyrocket.

They’re really getting desperate to find people outside of the GOP-e and the Hillary campaign who still dislike Trump, eh?

He needs to be put in jail for promoting terrorism and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

There seems to be space in Guantanamo...

Something about advocating the violent overthrow of the United States used to be a free speech limit. Now it’s a requirement for tenure at most Universities.

Why do we have to allow free speech / free expression / freedom to recruit, to a terrorist organization???

Would they protect the right of a group such as the National Organization for Marriage, which believes marriage should be a man and a woman, to organize and recruit on their campus? Or any other Judeo/Christian organization for that matter????
