I do hear some defense of Trump. Before I feel asleep today, I did hear Rush say that he is one of those who thinks it’s about time someone speaks like Trump....the left has gone unopposed far too long.

I started out liking Cruz, but there’s something about him. He just talks like a lawyer/politician and he comes across, to me anyway, as very arrogant and condescending.

Now some people would laugh, but I would say Trump, including all of his bragging, does not strike me as arrogant. I find him more confident than anything. I guess that comes from accomplishment.

If Trump wins Missouri, Ohio, Illinois AND North Carolina, indeed, the nomination will be his. It will mean that Cruz’ over-performing polls is done and that Trump is drawing the withering support for Rubio.

I remember one time Rush was doing his annual charity. I have forgotten the name of it. Trump called into the show about something unrelated but when Trump found out he was doing his charity he donated $100,000 to the charity without batting an eye.

I remember it well. Rush was stunned.

I know several people who know both Rush and DJT and have for years. There has never been one person say a negative thing about either of them.

I am real clear on what I do not like about Cruz. He started the campaign as Trump’s best friend. His demeanor was that you could trust him. He was really a good guy and in reality in the background he was plotting the opposite. Then midway he turned into the creature from the black lagoon it lot like the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

None of the other candidates were like that.

This showed me that Cruz has an ability to look you straight in the face while implying one intention while really doing the opposite behind your back. He is very calculating and deceitful.

Ya know something? That's interesting... because I'm not crazy about how Cruz speaks either but to me, this is not a popularity contest. If Reaganesque suavity and glibness is the principle requirement, then we are never going to get a humble guy in there that will lay it all on the line to devolve power back to the States and people.

I wish he'd stop saying "Ya know something" and "It's interesting" but it's unreasonable to expect him to stop being his nerdy self at this point. No one is ever going to be tempted to worship Ted Cruz, God bless him.
