FWIW, the only Cruz ads were an appeal to those who don't want Kasich to vote for Cruz instead. That's "in with the elite" because if Kasich loses in OH, he's OVER, and Cruz could have a two-man race.
When Cruz lost South Carolina he lost any chance at the nomination. If he keeps going he may succeed in denying Trump the 1,237 delegates, but not only would Trump be denied the nomination so would he. We’d end up with Jeb, another loss, and more Clinton shenanigans in the White House and a wrecked country. The only horse left in this race is Trump.

Actually, Bing predicted an Iowa win for Trump of about 40% to 30% for Cruz.
I think the reason that Rush has been so weird this election season is that he is a personal friend of Trump's. Rush and The Donald have been golfing pals for a very long time; it's put Rush in a tough spot. I believe that in Rush's heart he would like to see Cruz, but he has been pals with Trump - and how do you condemn someone that you socialize with?
I'm sure Rush never thought that Trump would run for office.

Got news for you. Trumps takes two thirds of the delegates today and its over for ALL OF THEM.
Rush gets more listeners when the Dems are in charge and people are unhappy. He might be afraid that Trump will give a daily streaming program from the White House which people will listen to instead of him.

As a Cruz supporter I have to say I’m amazed by the negative reaction by Trump supporters to Rush’s show.
Yes, he does say that Cruz is the best chance for a true conservative president we’ve had since Reagan and he’s unabashed about it.
However, he also fills his air time talking about trump and his supporters in a very positive light. —As a Cruz guy it kind of turns me off so you know it’s gotta be trump positive.
If the establishment plays games in the convention and denies Trump or Cruz (if it goes to two votes by the delegates) Rush will be leading the charge for an open revolt.
If he said “I need a bogel for the glotch!” in a debate it would earn him thousands of votes.

I remember one time Rush was doing his annual charity. I have forgotten the name of it. Trump called into the show about something unrelated but when Trump found out he was doing his charity he donated $100,000 to the charity without batting an eye.
I remember Rush saying he did not know what to say.
I guess now Cruz will donate a hundred grand next time Rush has his charity.
Funny how all these principled conservatives Rush, Romney, McCain will take millions from the unprincipled goon Trump but they won’t give him the time of day because Trump is beneath them all. What a bunch of snobbish pigs.
