Perhaps the police need to obtain some expert advice from the US Postal Mail Carriers organization on coping with dogs? I think they have managed to survive scheduled daily encounters for the past 100 years or so without opening fire.
Considering the crime rate in Milwaukee I doubt that these dogs were all cute little,tail wagging, family pets.

Yea, they can get you for resisting if you just ask them not to arrest you.
I hope she gets that aggressive lawyer and successful sues the pants off both the officers involved and the dept.

Which makes me think that killing any dog in their immediate vicinity regardless of how much of a threat the dog may present is indeed part of cop training.
So am I, but I've gone on a diet and am now down 20 lbs. Stories like this help as they usually make sick to my stomach.

Sites I’ve visited consistently report national statistics aren’t maintained. Convenient.
Guessing if we armed postal carriers as a rule and told them it’s ok to fire if they feel their lives are in danger, the numbers would be quite different.

She still faces charges. The PD is probably holding that over her to prevent a lawsuit against the officers and the department. They will seek a settlement whereby the charges are dropped if she signs an agreement not to sue IMO.

Cook “testified that he was not afraid of the dog, but was following training that required him to kill all dogs that approach him, even if it was chained and wagging its tail as Buddy was doing in this case.”
That part of the country (VA and WV) have some really, really brave cops-

Cops are trained to shoot all dogs?
These are no longer Law Enforcement Officers. They are paramilitary terrorists. This is what has become of the USA.
If you watch it, the dog was perfectly calm, wagging his tail at the officer who, weirdly, had his gun trained on the nice-looking pet remorselessly. ‘Training’ run amok.
