This Man Lived With Trump 50 Years Ago…
USA POLITICS INSIDER ^

Posted on 03/08/2016 10:56:44 AM PST by UMCRevMom@aol.com

Over the weekend, a man who attended high school with conservative businessman Donald J. Trump just shared something incredible about Trump on Facebook… and he is "aghast" by how the liberal media is treating him! His name is Peter Ticktin, who is now a lawyer. Ticktin and Trump both attended the New York Military Academy. And while Ticktin doesn't get involved in politics, he felt like it was time to speak out about his former classmate.

His post on Facebook, which is going viral, explained, "If you saw a guy get publicly smeared, and you knew him well from the days you were friends and seniors together in high school, if you knew him to be a decent and honest man, would you want to say something? This is why I need to share what I know."

And he is no fan of Marco Rubio's:

I was aghast at watching last night's debate. It was a set-up. The moderators, Cruz, and Rubio were all like little alligators trying to take a bite out of Trump. Yes, Donald Trump has had some failures, but he has been exceedingly successful. None of this came out. Instead, there was a general attack. Rubio simply makes up lies. He pretends that Trump has small hands and makes fun of him for something which isn't even real. He pretends that Donald wets his pants, and makes fun of him, as though it was true, and then he calls Donald Trump a "Bully."

And, Ticktin noted that everyone in the class has nothing bad to say about Trump: "Of the 99 guys (no girls in those days) in our class, there is not one who I know who has a bad word to say about Donald Trump."

And he added:

People don't really change much from the ages of 17 and 18, and I know this guy. I know him to be a good decent guy. We lived and breathed an Honor Code in those years. It wasn't just a rule. It was our way of life. Neither Donald, nor any other cadet who graduated with us would ever lie, cheat, or steal from a fellow cadet. These values became irreversibly intertwined in the fabric of our personalities, of who we are.

And it's clear Ticktin believes Trump is the best man to clean up the mess President Barack Obama has made during two terms:

[Trump] is a decent honest guy who loves this country, and who is willing to sacrifice so much of what is left of his life, because he knows that this country needs to be fixed, and that it is going to require someone who can do the job. He just doesn't see anything around him other than political hacks, so he is willing to take this huge responsibility.

Here is the full post, which has been "Liked" more than 20,000 times in 48 hours. It's amazing to watch a former Trump classmate willing to publicly take on the biased media and explain the truth about Donald Trump:

What an incredible announcement from a man who knows Donald Trump well. Clearly, Trump is a man of great character and would make a great President.

If you haven’t instilled good values into a child by age 12, you will find it difficult to get the job later.

Yeah, I’m not really sure what “liberal” and “conservative” means anymore.

My support started last summer when the media was trying to expose us to the background of a presidential candidate (without bias).

I read a number of articles and interviews with employees, friends, family, competitors, etc. going back to the 80s. Not a single one had a bad thing to say about him. They weren’t all going to vote for him but nothing negative about his character and a lot of great things about his leadership. That convinced me - I’ll take character and leadership over campaign promises.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen articles like that in a while. Wonder why. I also haven’t see articles like that with associates over the last 30 years attacking his character they way the others were complimenting him. If he’s as awful a person as we’re told now, I’d think they could find 100s of people lining up to tell their stories. (unless he worked closely with the students, I don’t think Trump U suers know his character, and that was 1 of 100s of companies he’s had.)

I hope that this will put an end to the childish name-calling on the Republican side. We, the public, deserve better. I’d much rather see each of the candidates put forth their solutions for what ails this country, and debate the merits of those proposals.

As far as Trump’s character, this guy HAS to be right. Trump has been in the public eye since the 1970s. If he had done anything of any consequence wrong or, worse yet, if he was a liar, a cheat, treated employees badly, was racist, etc., etc. - ALL of that would LONG AGO have come to the public’s attention. Being from the NY area, and having observed the press and media there for 40 years, I can PROMISE that such revelations ABSOLUTELY would have been front page and lead story news...for weeks. Further, even if he got the reputation for being just a cheater, few people would do business with him.

No, the guy isn’t a saint. But his not even close to the evil incarnate that his opponents (political and media-based) make him out to be. I see someone who is just a patriot. FYI, if anyone reads his book, “The Art of the Deal,” you will see that he was saying the same exact things about veterans, not settling lawsuits, being a tough negotiator, etc. back then (mid- to late-80s) as he is saying now. This leopard has NOT changed his spots - as his classmate indicates.

Oh, and as an aside, I have yet to read or hear about any similar recollection of Obama from any former classmate.

"Liberal" has been misused for the past 100 years. But "conservative" means what it has always meant; and Trump is truly a natural Conservative:

Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.
