Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay told Cavuto the GOP voters need to understand that the “delegates pick the nominee.”
Tom Delay: It’s not stealing the nomination. It’s the process. People need to realize that this is not an election of a president. This is the nomination of a candidate. And there’s a process and there’s rules and everybody has a fair shot at those rules. But in the end, the representatives, the delegates make the decision at the convention one way or another. And if no candidate gets to the convention with the majority of the votes then the delegates, duly elected to represent the people who have voted, get to decide. It’s not stealing anything.

Like Tom Delay needs to talk, didn’t he get ‘booted’ out of the Senate? And isn’t he from Texas? Makes you wonder what he’s trying to say, why doesn’t he just come out and say it:
“Trump isn’t going to win, I’m crooked and I say this because I’m from Texas!’ POS!!!
I’m glad he got prosecuted him.

Tom does not understand it is the voters that decide how the delegates will vote. Or does he have something else in mind?
What’s wrong with what he actually said, if a candidate gets over 50% of the delegates he wins the nominate. But if nobody gets 50%, then there will be deals made to get somebody over 50%. And that person may or may not be the person with the plurality.
That’s the whole point of having a convention. Otherwise we can just count the votes and declare the winner as the person with the plurality.
Stick your bejeweled finger in the wind and figure out which way it’s blowing, Tom, then pull a lace hankie from your velvet coat and wipe a tear for the end of your kind.

So... they’re going to pick someone that got 20% of the vote like Rubio or someone who got 0% of the 2016 votes like Romney?
