CNN anchor Jake Tapper asks Donald Trump 3 times if he would condemn David Duke and the KKK
Business Insider ^ | 02/27/2016 | Colin Campbell

CNN anchor Jake Tapper repeatedly asked Donald Trump on Sunday to denounce David Duke's support for his candidacy, but Trump insisted he didn't know anything about about the former KKK grand wizard.

"Will you unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you don't want his vote and that of other white supremacists in this election?" Tapper asked Trump on "State of the Union."

But Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner, said he didn't have enough information to answer the question:

I don't know anything about David Duke, OK? I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists. So I don't know. I mean, I don't know — did he endorse me or what's going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke. I know nothing about white supremacists. And so you're asking me a question that I'm supposed to be talking about people that I know nothing about.

BuzzFeed reported last week that Duke, a prominent white nationalist, urged his supporters to back Trump. Duke was quoted saying on his radio show that "voting against Donald Trump at this point is really treason to your heritage."

On his Sunday show, Tapper continued to press Trump on the subject.

"Even if you don't know about their endorsement, there are these groups and individuals endorsing you. Would you just say unequivocally that you condemn them and you don't want their support?" he asked Trump.

But Trump again insisted again he didn't know about Duke:

I have to look at the group. I mean, I don't know what group you're talking about. You wouldn't want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them.

If you want to look at the polls then look at the right poll: the poll concerning a Cruz-Hillary matchup. Cruz comes out on top. The primary polls are irrelevant once you have the nomination. Trump only gets 30-40% in the primary polls. And that’s about what he gets in a Trump-Hillary matchup too.

Fairy tale match up polls are worthless. Just recently I’ve heard Nate Silver and Jamie Dupree on Hannity both say they are garbage. Put no weight in them.

Facts from actual voters are that Trump is getting support across pretty much all demos in the primary. Cruz and Rubio are not. That wouldn’t change in the general and both Rubio & Cruz would lose to Hildabaest. Trump or lose, FRiend.

Sorry, but I don’t see either Rubio or Cruz with the presentation or the killer instinct to win in November.

We’re in a period of liberal ascendancy and dominance that will last as long as they can pay for it. Probably a half century or do.

There’s no fixing this.

Tapper is being a very disingenuous on this. I saw the Trump rally yesterday in Bentonville, Ar. Trump mentioned this and totally disavowed Duke.

Another sleazy tactic by a media I now despise and who refuse to do their jobs.

Any real ‘conservative’ would be running round in circles squawking like a sissy letting the MSM dictate and control the narrative. Good for Trump essentially saying screw you.

Let the MSM ask for condemnation of the likes of the BLM, NAACP, Black Caucus, Black Panthers and any of the plethora of race based groups otherwise they can stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Campaign slogans should be both innocuous and imbed a key point of the campaign for those who can handle it.

Make America great again. The “again” part implies America was great. So, I doubt Bernie could use it. Marxists might see capitalism as a stage in societal evolution (they argue over whether capitalism is or isn’t a necessary stage). So, they wouldn’t use “again” in a slogan.

You: “I hate the media. Trump is the only one who refuses to grant them unquestioned legitimacy. They are evil and do not represent the American Middle Class or Traditional American Values.”

Me: “I don’t understand your point. Could you clarify. It sounds really interesting I am just not following it exactly. Thanks.”

You: Do you work for CNN?

Me: Well, aren’t you an jerk.

Duke hasn’t been in the KKK for about 30 years, and Duke hasn’t even lived in the US for at least 10 or 15 years.

When have you seen the dems renounce the Black Panthers, Sharpton, SDS, Weather Underground, La Raza? They don’t they welcome them with open arms and not a single person in their party or in the media raises an eyebrow.

Is it true hundreds of “conservative” media personalities received an email on Friday, encouraging them to assault and attack Trump starting immediately through Tuesday, as part of an organized effort to influence voters?

It certainly seems like that’s what’s going on with the sudden increase in rhetoric coming from the eGOP.

Trump got asked at his presser with Christie about the David Duke endorsement and after he had to ask who Duke even was a reporter told him and Trump said OK I disavow it.

“Donald Trump graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and anthropology. Mensa doesn't accept SAT scores from after 1994. However Mr Trump was a student at Wharton when it was possible to derive an accurate IQ core from known SAT scores. Given the usual requirements for admission to a top school like Wharton, I estimate that Mr. Trump has a 156 IQ at the minimum.

There are so many mistakes and leaps in logic in that paragraph that it's almost not worth responding, but here goes:

1. The idea that one can extrapolate a person's SAT score from nothing more than the college they attended, and then extrapolate their IQ from that estimated SAT score, is laughable. There are too many things that factor into college admissions to make that kind of assumption. For example, Trump's father was an extremely wealthy guy, with substantial business and political contacts--is it possible those connections helped Trump get in? Who knows.

2. The inaccuracy/unreliability of the estimate based on college admissions (as pointed out in #1) is especially true in Trump's case, as he did not even go to Wharton straight out of high school. He went to Fordham for two years, then transferred. SAT scores are significantly less relevant in transfer admissions, and many transfer applicants are people who could not have gotten in initially. So, if you are even going to make the leap from a college's admissions standards to assume the SAT score (and thus IQ) of a particular student, the school you should be looking at in Trump's case is Fordham, not Wharton.

3. Wharton does not offer anthropology degrees. And, the idea that Trump trnasferred in and completed a dual degree in two years is laughable. And, not a single other source claims that he has an anthropology degree. So, not sure where the author got that.

Ah yes ... NY Times! Lol!

The NY Times is full of homosexual liars.

But just look at what you are engaging ...

1. You are using the NY Times

2. You are using an unverified statement that in effect Trump wants no part of the Reform Party which includes David Duke elements (whether known by name or not)

3. You are attempting to contradict Trump’s statement of 2016 based on a report by a heavily discredited media source from 2000 and by inference a support for white supremacy by omission.

The above string of expressions is nonsensical.

It is nonsense because it tries to infer that Donald Trump did not embrace white supremacy in 2000 but now embraces it in 2016. That is false on its face and embarrassing to witness.

It is false because Donald Trump’s hundreds of businesses show unequivocally a practice of merit-based promotion without regard to race or gender.

It is embarrassing to witness because it comes from a minimal skillset of keyboards and internet search without an attending skill to discern veracity or sufficient completeness of factfinding. It’s worse than amateur, it’s hackish and deceitful.

You would do well to withhold your impulse to engage your keyboard than to reveal your embrace of patent nonsense. The anecdote of ‘Mark Twain and Fools’ applies here.

Trump must be a patriot or the media wouldn’t be doing this to him. Did they ever ask 0dunga about the black activist or Muslim groups that support him?

Trump brushes off David Duke support

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/270931-trump-brushes-off-david-duke-support

(excerpt)

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday disavowed a former Ku Klux Klan leader’s support.

“I didn’t even know he endorsed me,” Trump said while unveiling an endorsement from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, when asked about former KKK grand wizard David Duke’s support.

“David Duke endorsed me? OK, alright. I disavow, OK?” Trump said, seeking to quickly move on to another question.

Really? Not so brilliant, Brilliant.
