Actually I agree.
I’d want it done intelligently, but the US media is a propaganda arm of the Uniparty. They lie and they are focused on manipulating society for purely evil ends.
If the media tell lies I want them stopped. Adjustments to the Libel laws sounds like an excellent idea to me.

What needs to be adjusted? The current common law is if a news source publishes a misrepresentation about a public figure and the pubic figure proves malice, the public figure wins.

Don’t know how to go about it but a tweak to the libel laws that effects the big press which mostly are liberal would be great. They hide a lot behind their BS.

Nope. Lying is bad but destroying freedom is worse. We cannot give up one of our most cherished freedoms just because some folks may abuse it.
And that is precisely what would happen. Trump's is the bully argument from start to finish. It is Nietzsche on steroids. The strongman can file suit after suit, even against people telling the truth. It takes a lot of time and money to run a lawsuit. Big guys wear out little guys all the time. I'm an attorney. I know how this works. Trump knows how this works. The chill on free speech would be YUGE. This truly is the dark side. Don't give in to it. I am not kidding. Do not give in to it.
Peace,
SR

Truthfully and I’m big on the 1st amendment but the Media really has carte Blanche at this point. Its very hard to sue these publications for libel.
