Exactly.

With the current pope being nothing more than the Obama of the Catholic Church, Kenya (and what kind of Catholic name is that, anyway?) should worry more about the threat from Francis than dissing Donald Trump.

Did not know we were in a ? contest. Just posted what I posted which was what Trump said. Was it true/false?

Not trying to put you or any one else down.

Your opinion is your opinion.....apples/oranges. Again, Trump said what he said. You may disagree, but it stands. Trump says a lot of things!

Glad you are a follower!! No matter who wins or loses, that is critical!!!

Trump is a liar and a womanizer. I will vote for the best candidate first (not Trump). If Trump wins I will vote for him before I vote for a Democrat.

Trump will if he wins bring death to the only party for the conservatives. And guys like you will love him for it.

It is obvious Donald Trump is willing to lie his way to the top. He has stated, on numerous occasions, that evangelicals love him.

No. No we do not.

Saw an article this past week. Linky: The best predictor of Trump support isn't income, education, or age. It's authoritarianism. Discernment needed. One interesting snippet from that article is:

did find one soft spot in Trump’s support. Regular, weekly church attendance — as measured by a standard Pew Research question included in my survey — predicted a statistically significant and substantive opposition to Trump

so there!

Maybe it is true.

Maybe it is true, the way that 0bama, The Clintons, Loretta Lynch etc ‘read the Constitution more than anyone’...

Looking for loopholes.

Aaaah... the liberals favorite verse to quote.

Matthew 7:1 (NASB)

"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

I am not judging, I am observing. I am not saying he is going to Hell. I am saying what he is saying doesn't match his actions.

Later in that same chapter:

Matthew 7:15-20 (NASB)

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.

How are we to determine whether they are false prophets? He is claiming to be a Christian, Looking at his fruits he appears to be something different. I don't know what is in his heart, and I don't claim to.

As far as judgement goes, those within a church must have some judgement regarding those within the church, those outside the church judgement is reserved for God alone...

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NASB)

I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.

Dear Catholic Church.

Sort out things with the pope, including his “not a Christian” remarks and open socialism/communism/lib theology.

Speck on your brother’s eye?

Then criticize another human being.

Only then.

Do you think that of Obama too? That Catholics should not criticize him either?

Trump is planning to re-write the Bible to “make it great again”.

....”Trump's claim that... “Nobody reads the Bible more than me”... a statement that sent millions of critics into fits of laughter.”.....

He also said he's a Presbyterian and a member of Marble Collegiate Church, but Marble Collegiate is not a Presbyterian church and has no record of Trump being a member.

He refused to name his favorite verse when asked repeatedly in an interview on Bloomberg’s....but later he claimed his favorite verse is “never bend to envy,” which is not in the Bible.

He attended a church service in Iowa as part of his outreach to Evangelicals. But the church he attended was a Mainline Protestant denomination that ‘supports gay marriage’.

The list goes on and on that Trump has little if any familiarity with what the Bible is about.

It’s beyond that I think.....there’s a serious deception operating that makes conversation impossible with any of his supporters. It’s as though Trump has become their authority and that’s very dangerous.

"How can the Republican candidate claim he loves evangelicals and that the Bible is his favorite book when he can't even properly pronounce 2 Corinthians?"

First of all, let me correct the article/author you posted from.   Their assertion that the correct way to pronounce 2 Corinthians is "2nd Corinthians", is not universally true.   In fact, many liturgical Churches like the Anglicans and the Catholics often (not always) use the shorthand "Two Corinthians", or "One Peter", etc.

(I can personally vouch for that, as I have often heard many lectors in countless Daily & Sunday Masses over the years use the shorthand "Two Corinthians" version when giving the readings for the Mass, just like Trump.)   Let me quickly point you to some other sources that confirm that truthful fact, so that you can see for yourself, and not continue to propagate their false assertion about the "correct way" to reference the Epistles in the New Testament (their false quote from NPR notwithstanding).

"Seeking Truth Catholic Bible Study" (At about 0:43, she says "Two Corinthians Chapter One to Thirteen" in her online Bible study.)

"One Peter Five" (The name of this group makes use of the common Catholic shorthand "One Peter Five", not "First Peter Five", which is how many Protestants would exclusively refer to it.)

"Trump allegedly misquotes Bible, media pounce" (from article - "In the United Kingdom, British subjects often refer to these letters from the apostle Paul as 'One Corinthians' and 'Two Corinthians'.")

"Second Epistle to the Corinthians" wikipedia - ("The Second Epistle to the Corinthians, often referred to as Second Corinthians (US) or Two Corinthians (UK) (and written as 2 Corinthians), is the eighth book of the New Testament of the Bible.")

"What is it with the giggling about Trump saying 'Two Corinthians' instead of 'Second Corinthians'? Either one sounds fine to me." (from responses - "Paddy O said... I learned to say one John, two Corinthians, etc. and so on, in my relatively conservative Evangelical seminary.   It's a Britishism (most of my profs were UK educated). I still use it when I'm not thinking about context.   It's easier to say.   To this day, the UK universities offer the most prestigious degrees in Biblical studies, so it makes sense that their usage has broader influence.")

"Donald Trump says 'Two Corinthians' instead of 'Second Corinthians'" ("Saying Two is perfectly valid. I even had priests at school say it that way once in a while.")

Now, a quick Bible reference regarding judging...

James 4:12 "There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy.   But who are you to judge your neighbor?"

Hey Catholic church:

Once you:

1. Stop supporting open borders and illegal immigration so you can make millions of dollars in government "refugee" subsidies and....

2. Fix your homosexual pedophile corruption problem and....

3. Stop electing communists as your Pope....

...then you can lecture us about politics.

It is not the NORM for someone to respond to the article in the original post! :)

Usually name calling, diversion to something else, no specificity, personal attacks on the poster, and everyone else, etc, etc.

Times are a changing!!! lol!! It is refreshing to see it happen!

Thanks again!!
