In the case of Trump University, the situation is even more disturbing. While Schneiderman’s investigation into Trump University first arose out of a larger inquiry into for-profit schools that accepted federal funding, his office quickly learned that neither Trump University nor its students had ever received any form of federal funding, subsidies or other government aid and offered all of its students a 3 day money back guarantee if they were not completely satisfied. Despite learning these facts, for the last two years, Schneiderman’s office has spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars conducting a no holds barred, scorched earth investigation, assigning as many as ten of his staff members to interview former Trump University employees and review literally hundreds of thousands of pages of documents. Making matters worse, Schneiderman chose to devote such valuable taxpayer dollars to looking into Trump University even though there was already a class action lawsuit pending in California brought by the firm of disgraced former lawyers and convicted felons Bill Lerach and Mel Weiss.
And what did Schneiderman’s office find after wasting so much of the taxpayers’ hard earned money? Exactly what Trump University told the Attorney General on day one – that as much as 98% of those students who participated in Trump University programs were not only satisfied with their Trump University experience, but would recommend the program to a friend.

Trump talked about this today. He said the students signed a paper saying they were satisfied, and then joined the lawsuit. Sounds like he’s going to win this one. Countersuit?

I tried to do a little informal research about Trump's audits and apparently in NY he is considered a major hardnose republican, even though it doesn't appear that way to the average conservative republican, I guess the contrast in Ny is substantial.
Meanwhile, the democrat NY Ag that brought the suit is considered very political.
I think Trump supporters have to get energized the next 2 weeks because the elite have decided now is the time to take Trump down. Rubio alone has purchased 20 million in anti trump ads these past few days. That's why I posted this.

Clinton Foundation Donor to Pay $95.5 Million Settlement to Justice Department

A for-profit educational corporation that has donated to the Clinton Foundation agreed to pay $95.5 million to the Obama administration as a settlement for a government lawsuit alleging that it was using illegal tactics to lure in prospective students.
The Education Management Corporation was sued by the Department of Justice in 2011 for multiple recruitment violations, including paying its recruiters based on the number of students it enrolled, and exaggerating the career opportunities that were available to graduates. The lawsuit argued that the violations made the corporation ineligible for the $11 billion in state and federal financial aid it has received since 2003.

This organization has some unusual practices.
For instance, its students serve as telemarketers who pitch the school to prospective new students. It operates in at least three countries (Turkey, Mexico and Chile) where for-profit universities are illegal, author Schweizer notes.
Douglas Becker (a FOB), runs the for-profit university, which engages Bill Clinton to give speeches several times a year. Based on Clintons gargantuan fee scale, that works out to Pres Bill getting perhaps $1 million a year from Laureate, Clinton Cash author Schweizer estimates.
(NOTE On falsified disclosure forms, Pres Bill revealed only that he has been paid more than $1,000 by Laureate.)
Becker also runs a related nonprofit, International Youth Foundation, which coincidentally found its federal grant money has exploded (according to author Schweizer) since Hillary became secretary of state (in 2009) and Bill became honorary chancellor of Becker/s profit-seeking company.
Many of International Youth Foundation grants came from tax dollars---from a State Dept agency---USAID.
Then SoS Hillary took official control of USAID, a move that dramatically reduced its independence, Clinton Cash author Schweizer says.

Lets start with the criminal universities first
I don’t know who created it. It doesn’t have any original material, just a compilation of reviews, newspaper articles, youtube videos, and survey content which just about anybody with a little time on their hands could have pulled together. Obviously some of the surveys and reviews came from the TU archives or offices.
There is that contrast with the RINOS, but there’s something else going on in New York City: the outrage of the older money (most of it not THAT old) against someone who presumes to take over their territory. Straight out of Edith Wharton. Hmm. Wharton . . .
I have read several various numbers, which probably vary by who is providing them. If I find something concrete and unassailable I will post it.

I read that the Repubs in Albany have started a recall of this attorney gen who started the Trump investigation, not because of the Trump investigation in particular, but because he goes full throttle on any critic of Obama. Oh my gosh, Trump sure falls into that category.
Uh, Mr. Eartick, the university went belly-up, as you so delicately put it, because of the investigation. Meanwhile, when it was in operation it had and therefore, existentially, stil HAS a 98% approval rate.
I know Schneiderman from back in the neighborhood struggles. You’re not telling me anything new. Well, maybe a bit. But the character remains the same.
