Are you really this slow? If having power in the Senate means you have to go along with Leftists to keep power in the Senate then does it REALLY matter who has power?
No, I’m not slow. We can prevent O from appointing lib because we are in the majority. No majority, O does what he wants.
But O cannot do what he wants. We can make him appoint a moderate, or no one at all. If he proposes a moderate, I’d take that deal, and fight this battle over Ginsberg after the election. Then, if we win POTUS AND the Senate, then we pick a conservative and flip the majority back to us. IT ALL DEPENDS UPON WINNING BOTH THE POTUS AND THE SENATE. Lose either election, and we are screwed.
That’s why it’s important that Kirk wins - because it helps us keep the majority and thus the committee chairs.
This is not rocket science. Winning matters.

You seem the ‘slow’ one. The GOP has a 54 vote majority in the Senate. They can afford to let two or three Senators up for election in a Blue state support Obama’s nominees. It won’t matter and may help them keep their seat. Nancy Pelosi used this tactic many times allowing democrats in conservative states a free vote against liberal policies.
