Ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin launched her political action fund, Sarah PAC, in 2009 with the stated purpose "to help elect principled conservative leaders" across the country. But the latest Federal Election Commission filing indicates that money raised in small contributions by Sarah PAC is going to consultants, speech-writing services, direct-mail appeals, as well as stays by Palin in fancy hotels.

Sarah PAC raised $950,000 in 2015, spent a total of $1.4 million, and donated just 23,500 to 45 campaigns. It also...

I never would have expected this from Governor Palin.

Several years ago I spend 10 days in Alaska. When I asked everyday common people there about her, I generally got a middling to very negative opinion. When I mentioned that here on FR I got shredded. It seems the truth is coming out.

The stated purpose is to get conservatives elected. Cmon, just 23 grand to candidates, really?

And the best way for her to help get conservatives elected is to travel around and make speeches and endorsements where it is believed she'd have a positive influence.

Anybody could take donations and then turn around and give money to candidates.

But if a time comes when Sarah's name has no value in to political arena, her PAC will dry up.

The point is, she is a phony.

Using $$ to support lavish lifestyle, rather donating to conservatives.

Has the money Trump raised for vets been accounted for yet?<<

Exactly what does your first question have to do with your second question? Seriously, get the Vaccine, you need it.

Hey, here’s a conspiracy for you. Maybe Trump got Sarah to Endorse him so he could get his hands on all that SaraPac Money that isn’t there. Give me a break.

Costs money to fly somewhere and give speeches on behalf of candidates and issues. That’s what she did with the money, and its what she said she’d do. Where’s the problem?

This is certainly a shock to me. She has done and said some dumb stuff (just like everybody else) but I have always liked and respected her. I don’t have a lot of money, so I’m really disappointed that I gave to her PAC.

You’re full of shit. If Sarah Palin had endorsed Ted Cruz, you’d be falling all over yourself praising her. You’re a fraud and a hypocrite.

You can only give so much to a single candidate which is what the PAC does. The real value is in appearing on their behalf and doing other things to enhance the candidates profile. Sarah Palin does that in spades and has been quite effective.

What have you done? How much did you give to her PAC? If you didn’t give anything, then shut the hell up!

Nonsense. She stayed where the other politicians stayed because she was there to lobby them. Wouldn't do much good if they were all talking at the Waldorf and she was saving money at the Motel 6 outside of town. Why even go, then?

Then save your money and buy lottery tickets with it instead, until you figure out what the word "lobbying" means.

>> Just because she didn’t support the dirty trickster this time.

So you seriously think that the Seattle Post-Intelligencer went after St. Sarah because they are in Ted Cruz’s corner?

ROFL

Some of those charges seem excessive, and I’m not keen on situations where so much is paid to raise money (though she’s a piker compared to Ben Carson on that), but the cost for her to actually go to a candidate’s rally or whatever was far outweighed, even through 2014, by the value that her live appearance gave to that candidate’s campaign.

That is, conservative candidates were better off with her appearance than the would have been with the money it cost to fund her appearance.

I’m not sure how much longer that will hold, however.

So you think lobbying is a wasted effort? That's sad, since at the end of the day, it's how things get done in D.C. At least Sarah is fighting the good fight, and standing up for what needs to be said.
