My First Question is why did the Cops open fire on a vehicle when they had not done anything aggressive or illegal? 2nd) Why did they continue to shoot when a man was clearly trying to surrender??3rd) Why did they shoot over 100 rounds into a vehicle with 3 people in it who never showed any aggression to them?
Always know this. The Federal govt is an evil entity. Their intent toward the average citizen is never good. Treachery and violence are natural handmaidens of tyranny.
If you have never felt the wrath of the Federal Govt pray you never do. We have and its incredibly unpleasant and can be hazardous to your health.
At the first stop " Ryan Payne had both hands out the window and they shot at him"
Shawna is confused. She was only in the truck.
Perhaps we should get her a copy of The Narrative:
1) He drove away from the initial stop.
1) He left the 1st stop. I have gone over and over the film...I see no evidence that shots were firred at the first stop.
I myself could not hear any shots on the video at the first stop, so there weren't any.
Oddly, when Finicum came to a stop at the second roadblock, there weren't any shots fired there, either, because I couldn't hear any on the videotape.
Maybe Finicum keeled over from a heart attack from walking in the deep snow.
And all that stuff hitting the truck in the snowbank must have been a sudden hailstorm. And the smoke coming out of the truck windows? Sudden small pop-up ground-hugging clouds.
Man, the weather sure got bad real quick there, didn't it? Good thing it was localized to a circle right around the truck, otherwise the other people there at the scene might have gotten hurt by the big hailstones.
The ones that were hitting the truck...
Yeah, it IS a neat trick - considering that the 19th anniversary of Free Republic was in September of last year [2015], and Jim didn't get the software running until November 1996. To be a 19 year freeper, you would have had to have started between December 1996 and the end of January 1997.
If you joined in January of 1997, you'd just have rolling your 19th anniversary... :)
BEAUTIFUL BUT HAUNTING VIDEO

LaVoy Finicum’s daughters sing a tribute song to their Dad. Will you stand with the Finicum family?
Many thanks for the quotes; I am severely hearing impaired .
Thanks for posting the links to the Shawna Cox statement

Special Agent in Charge of Oregon Occupation Greg Bretzing Linked to National Security Breach, Fraud and Corruption in Salt Lake City

KSL
Special Agent in Charge Bretzing
In 2011 KSL-TV out of Utah conducted a year-long investigation of the FBI Field Office in Salt Lake City regarding security violations. The alleged violations had been first reported by a special agent in Phoenix and alleged a leak of classified information that could threaten national security. Greg Bretzing, now out of the FBIâs Portland, OR. branch and current Special Agent in Charge of the Malhuer Occupation and LaVoy Finicum shooting was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the time of the investigation. The report prompted the Salt Lake City field office to begin re-evaluating its security procedures, according to sources inside the FBI. Security clearance procedures were reassessed to ensure each individual had the appropriate credentials and access.
The story detailed allegations of multiple violations of internal FBI policies, including lax oversight of classified documents stored inside the FBIâs Salt Lake City field office; violations of policies that govern the issuance and use of FBI credentials; the failure to enforce rules that restrict access to areas where classified documents are kept; and concerns that high-level FBI officials may have covered up a formal complaint of security violations.
Why am I not shocked?
Almost half our national terrain has been sold or used as collateral for large loans from other nations.
You see, the politicians steal so much of the taxpayers money that there isn't enough left to pay the INTEREST on DEBTS. So, they hock our land.
This particular shooting may have been ‘legal’.
However, the question is why does the government ‘own’ such large tracts of land and keep taking more (declaring large tracts as national monuments or other legal mumbo jumbo) which causes these conflicts with those who used to own the land or occupy large tracts near it ?
This instance is just one of many that keep occurring. Most, we never hear of. This one took a standoff to bring to the surface.
Oh, I agree 100%. Theyw ere protesting smething that needed protesting and they brought a lot of light on it.
We have been fighting this fight for years...decades...here in the west.
Klamath was another one that shined a light on it.
Slowly people across the country are becoming more and more aware of it.
I am very sorry that Lavoy was killed. He was a good father, grandfather, foster patent, and a good American. His death was completely unnecessary and I hope the people in charge of ordering that take down are investigated and held accountable.
Tragically, Lavoy made some serious mistakes in that entire incident on that afternoon on their way to John Day...and it cost him his life. He was unaware of how the law enforcement personnel would react to his driving off, his trying to go around a road block and almost hitting one of their number, and then getting out and acting erratically and reaching to his side. He should have simply gotten down on the ground spread eagle as soon as he jumped out of the truck.
But overall, he and the Bundys were shining the light on serious eroisions of constitutional rights.
it seems that the FBI is becoming very proficient at covering up high level national security breaches these days, No?
I had to wait a day or two, holding my breath, of replying to you. My first and initial comments, = (my posting) is/were based on the following, and I still will hold onto that it was COLD Blooded execution style alas Murder!!!

Well, I can't agree with that after examining the video a lot more.
My belief is that it was a cascade systems failure funneling LaVoy Finicum to his death. He was man enough to get away from the women after burying the truck in the snow, and probably saved their lives.
The shots fired at the first roadblock led to the poorly chosen second roadblock, where the sudden appearance of Finicum's truck, at a high rate of speed [even though they'd probably been warned], threw the scene into an uproar.
Jeff's conclusion that he was a dead man at that point seems to be correct.
The only thing that remains is for the family to acquire the videos with sound, and sort out the responsibilities at the first and second roadblocks.
Also, he may have set his family up for life, with the help of the government, of course.
The FBI was determined to kill somebody and poor Mr Finicum drew the short straw. They were never going to leave there without killing someone and no doubt they are disappointed that they only winged Ryan Bundy. This is govt pay back for the Bundy ranch and to strike fear in the hearts of anybody who dissents. The US govt is not about to let a grassfire movement to return public lands to the states’ take hold. Not if they can help it.
It’s not just about Constitutional Rights, it’s about trading/selling of recently acquired/to be acquired private land and mineral rights to foreign entities, and using large tracts of federally ‘owned’ land as collateral on loans from foreign entities. Those foreign entities want their ‘property’ protected, thus the government is now keeping the public out of most federally owned land.
Sorry, to me it is most certainly also about Constitutional rights as well. I know all about the Clinton Foundation and others trying to control and sell the land.
But that land should never have been, and should not now be “owned” and controlled by the Federal government. The Constitution is very clear on what lands the federal government can posses once a State enters the Union.
Anyhow...going over over the exact nature of the reasoning behind the protest itself was not my point. My point was much more about how Lavoy ended up getting shot.
IMHO, in that incident, he made some serious mistakes in a very dangerous situation that led to the shooting.
But the overall culpability IMHO is squarely on the shoulders of the Federal and state managers who choose to needlessly escalate the entire thing to a mortally dangerous situation in the first place.
I pray that the judicial process will focus on that and in some way, hold them accountable.
Lavoy did not need to die. It was a senseless, tragic thing brought about by decisions by Federal and state management that put those officers and the Bundy group in that sorry situation.
But I am becoming repetitive, so I will simply back away now and not keep repeating myself.
It kind reminds me of the Waco killing. Or recently the San Bernardino shooting where witnesses said it was done by Three White Males dressed in black. Or long ago TW800 where witnesses also saw missiles fired from ground and then they blamed it on fuel tanks.
President Reagan said it right: “GOVERNMENT ‘I-S’ THE PROBLEM” !!!
