Bob Dole popping back up in the news makes me remember the 1988 Republican nomination contest. For those old enough to remember, the nomination came down to Bush, Dole and Pat Robertson. Talk about a horrible set of choices. I held my nose and voted for Dole.
Now that's funny.
Seriously, no matter who the GOP nominee is, the press will be relentless in the smears and criticisms. And, if that GOP candidate becomes president, that will only continue. Who amongst the GOP field can stand up to that?
