I caught a bit in my care (only time I hear him and rarely).
He called DT a liar pretty much on the trash he is throwing at Cruz.
Trump supporter explained how bad ethanol was for cars/all engines and he hopes DT researches and changes his mind. LOLOL. Levin was very kind to him considering he had just talked about DT’s ridiculous pandering on that issue.
Trump is so sleazy. He constantly lies. His only principle is to promote his own glory.
Trump is looking to WIN.
He wants to run the table and not strategize some exotic logic puzzle that will win the nomination.
I’ll take that any day.
What’s wrong with Trump being for the ethanol mandate? Maybe he’s saying that he supports growing corn.
If he had said he was against ethanol but was for growing corn for consuming, would that change the act of growing corn?
Corn farmers would still have work. The ethanol producer would have a cow.
Remind me again how many elections Mr. Levin has won.
Thanks.

Go, Mark!
“The most damaging thing that ethanol does, according to Levin is add to famine and poverty in the third world”
Does he mean we’re morally obligated to feed the world? A very liberal position I’d say.
It’s not the mandate, it’s the subsidies. I can’t believe there are people on a conservative forum proclaiming this does not matter. Subsidies distort the free market, let alone the aggregate costs and the tax implications.
We are about to enter into an economic era the likes of which most of us have never seen and why? Government intervention and distortion of markets and profligate spending. Someone has to start somewhere to wrest the economy back from an overarching federal government.
The Trumpeters on here will go to any lengths to cover for Trumps big government, big tax, one man rule philosophy. Don’t worry it looks like you are going to get your wish, I just hope we all don’t choke on it.
I was willing to go Trump, but this is starting to turn into a cult of personality and aren’t we in the midst of one right now with Obama? Yeah we are, now I see the political discourse in the USA is just devolving into tribalism and cultism. To me this signals the end of the republic so have at it.
Levin sounded defeated and whiney today. Carrying all the water for Cruz while bashing Trump.
To me it shows that Trump is just another politician after all. He claimed he would be different, independent. This shows he’s just like the rest.
I don’t trust any of them. How many times are we going to hear the same promises and get kicked in the teeth after the election? Nothing ever changes.
ANYONE who supports ethanol in this environment of low crude prices is artificially raising the price of gasoline Americans pay.
Disqualified to be a conservative, PERIOD.
Levin does not seem to get it . . . like Rush DOES . . . that Trump supporters are NOT HUNG UP on the old conservative incantation.
TO WIT:
1. We want SOME parts of government to be BIG right now, namely, military, infrastructure (BUILD that WALL!), and whatever agency rounds up and deports illegal aliens.
2. We are SICK of the FREE TRADE Kool-aid. It may have sounded good in the past, but it has gutted American manufacturing and jobs.
3. Trump people are NOT NEOCONS. Do not want to establish ANY kind of globalist empire . . . recognizing that such a beast would not be for the benefit of the American people.
4. The key is to take control of the U.S. government by the American, WORKING, middle class. THEN we can work on making it smaller (a good thing, of course, in the longer run).
Other traditional Republican ideas are absolutely fine . . . especially the values agenda of evangelicals.
Etc.
So what? Cruz panders to Evangelicals by citing 3 Bible verses in a single Hannity interview (seriously). I was only familiar with two of them.
Yes it is a pander, but it’s a direct pandering to the Iowa voters. Not good, but not the same as being bought off by crony capitalists.
Awesome, ethanol helps Iowa, not the other 49!
