It Would Be Just Like the GOP Establishment To Back Trump
Redstate ^ | 1/19/16 | Leon H. Wolf

Within the last nine months, Donald Trump has mocked a disabled reporter for his disability, suggested that Megyn Kelly was on her period during the course of a debate, made fun of Carly Fiorina's looks, and called the entirety of the Republican leadership "stupid" more times than I can count. Now he is bashing Ted Cruz for - I kid you not - having bad manners with an esteemed member of the Republican Establishment:

"Ted has got a rough temperament, you can't call people liars on the Senate floor when they are your leaders. Not a good thing to do if you want to curry favor and get the positive votes later on own," Trump said.

"Ted is worried about his temperament, people are talking about his temperament. I haven't talked about his temperament but he's got to be careful because his temperament has been questioned a lot."

This follows Trump's decision earlier today to quote the "highly respected" crony capitalist repeat tax hiker Terry Branstad in making an attack on Cruz.

I don’t know about “lying memes”, but the very plain truth is that Trump’s solution to everything is pretty much big government and he has attacked conservatives and what we stand for from the campaign stage - it’s on video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRQgAEqLUmQ&list=PLJcbhHQDR9da0H3-Qs-7WEEj6tam9vlh3

If you're keeping score at home, that's four times in the last three days he's invoked the most notorious genuine establishment figures in the Republican party to attack Cruz.

Pssst! Trump (all hail!) is not anti-establishment. He is a a trader of influence and power. As president the amount of corruption will not diminish. No leadership against abortion, will not undo the Iran deal or Obama care or anything else. The NY values candidate that boasts about his own cronyism with politicians will keep making deals with the very folks in power that betrayed conservatives.

Well the establishment wants neither Trump nor Cruz. They would prefer Clinton to either of them.

However they want to take out Cruz first. THe dems will have a 2 billion dollar war chest, they will use it to destroy Trump and his numerous flip flops. He has been polling weaker than almost all the other pub candidates against the rats. His negatives among independents are off the charts. He will be a easy target for the rats.

He has fallen behind Cruz in a head to head matchup so take out the guy who could win a general election then Trump is clobbered in the general and the establishment will have control and we will not see a conservative for many years.

Like I’ve said right along: In the end Trump and the GOPe will be a friendly merger. They’re cut from the same cloth. Unprincipled. Arrogant. Selfish. Narcissistic. Greedy. Power-hungry. The philosophy of “the art of the deal” makes it all inevitable.

Not only did he make GS deals, he tried to hide them under the rug like a little kid. And when Teddy (bear) started slipping in Iowa, he started another war between the states.

The end began when he handed out soccer balls with Glen Beck to parasites that refuse to speak English. And people have the nerve to call him principled.

He operates his company lean and mean, why would he be for big government?? It makes no logical sense. Both Trump and his sons have said over and over how much big government and its waste frustrates them. I don’t understand where people get the lying meme Trump is for big government.

You could say the same thing about Trump calling Cruz names like nasty and saying no one likes him Trump will need to work with Cruz in the Senate one day if he is elected as President.

Cruz made a few deals with Goldman Sachs

That's an asinine comment. There are these things called "loans" - most people have them at one point or another, whether to buy a car or a house. Does the bank that holds your mortgage control how you vote?

You can ask Trump about loans - he has taken out BILLIONS in loans over the years, not just a piddly million. Is Trump owned by the banks that have loaned him money over the years? Of course, Trump hasn't always paid his loans back...

Fear him?

He just read a K St produced lobbyist script in favor of wasting more taxpayer dollars on ethanol today.

You have to be joking, Trump is the biggest crony capitalist out there.....McConnell, Ryan and the Chamber of Commerce boys can’t wait to have him sign their deals, I mean bills.

That video is another lying meme. Surely you know what the context of Trump’s remarks on that subject were.
