The Left’s Endgame Hits the Wall
American Thinker ^ | Jan. 14, 2016 | Dan Gorski

If there is such thing as a “hockey stick” graph, it charts the disappearance of freedom, opportunity, prosperity and hope of the American middle class during the last 50 years. In 2008 Americans sleepwalked to the polls and elected a man who by his history, family, friends and even his own words left little doubt that his mission was to destroy everything that America has traditionally stood for. We entered the steep part of the graph.

I read the article. It’s now clear...Trump is the Messiah.

Spot on piece. If not Trump, somebody else would have stepped in. A fifty year coma is going to end at somepoint with a massive “what the heck were we thinking” mood sweeping the country and people taking back their destiny. We are not riding off into the sunset we are riding into the enemy camp with locked and loaded and “charge” on our lips. Damn the torpedos here comes the Americans!

“They are simply the mother of all kleptocracies.”

Isn’t this the truth.

I hope to jump in the discussion before the attacks start.

I happen to like both Cruz and Trump. I'm leaning Trump. Here's why:

He is not afraid to lead. I can't imagine anyone else in the race issuing that ad featuring Hillary droning on about Respect for Women while showing Bill and Monica on the screen. It was a gut-punch to the Clintons. It very effectively showed her to be a total hypocrite in a way that an average Joe could understand.

Likewise the Cruz "birther" issue. Granted, it was a subtler approach. But lets not pretend it is not effective. It has worked. As I said, I like Ted Cruz, but this was going to surface at some time. Better now than against Hillary. If he wins the nomination, I'd definitely like this to be "old and settled" news.

I again pledge to support the Republican nominee, whoever he are she is... unless it is Bush.

Enter Donald Trump. Individuals have and always will change the course of things, unpredictably and suddenly. Trump has consciously or unconsciously punched our red button. Trump is real and he is emotive. Wonkish analysis and reasoned debate do not fuel mass movements, emotion does; mass movements are like the periodic fires that tear through an old, rotting, bug infested forest and start a new cycle of vitality. This country is too far gone to resurrect any other way. It is time to awaken the sleeping giant and let the chips fall where they will. Trump has tossed the match into the powder keg.

Trump has awakened the Silent Majority. The American people can look around and see our country slipping away from us. Millions are standing up and screaming STOP! Count me among them!

Yes, but Trump didn't start the birther controversy. I believe it was McCain and his cronies who started the thing. But Trump saw an opportunity and took it. I think Trump is right...I believe that Ted Cruz is qualified to be President, bit the democrats will have a field day with this if Cruz is the nominee.

Yes, I agree with both your points as I read them:

1. Trump was not the catalyst for the story.

2. Trump saw a weakness, and helped the story run wild through "backhanded support" for Cruz.

Bookmark for a second read later. But Gorski completely hits the nail on the head in describing the fuel Trump is using to power his campaign.

Trump won’t be afraid to do things we have never seen done in this country in the name of returning it to its Christian, Scots-Irish roots. The left will be treated as the enemy.

Among the things we need to do is outlaw tenure at tax-supported universities and not shrink from arresting Dim-O-Rat members of Congress and officials in the bureaucracy for the treason they commit. Trump also should simply refuse to spend money on any of the 80% or more of the federal government that does unconstitutional things. With the money saved, we could slash taxes and take “the 49%” off the dole.

We could then empower the states to do what they think is right - such things as affirming God in the public square and cracking down abortion, free birth control, fag marriage and open blasphemy.

Yup. If this is where we are then the GOP is equally if not more to blame. Trump is going to win this.
