The article quotes a Cruz debate teammate from Canada who says, upon border crossings, that Cruz usually identified as an “American,” but also acknowledged he had dual citizenship.

You “explanation” of the article is not completely correct. You don’t need to attempt to mislead on your posts. It sounds like Cruz simply shook his head yes “because I pointed him to and said he was a dual citizen.”

A more complete extract follows:

........................................................................
Lubetsky said he remembered one occasion at a border crossing where Cruz identified himself as a dual citizen, “because I pointed him to and said he was a dual citizen.”

“I think his normal routine was to identify himself as an American,” he said.

Lubetsky remembered Cruz, and other members of the debate team, coming to his home in Toronto and Cruz proudly telling his mother that Texas was so big that if it was flipped on its end, it would reach to the Canadian border.

“There is no doubt that Ted identified himself as an American,” he said. “He was always an American and a Texan and that was certainly the case back then. We would cross the border to come to Canada and he would identify as an American.”

You shouldn't attempt to mislead in your reply. My explanation stands. If Cruz 'shook his head yes' (your imagination, by the way, as they were obviously at a border crossing explaining their presence) that's "acknowledged he was a dual citizen", which also fits with Breitbart's headline. The student also notes that the natural born citizen question was on Cruz's mind from childhood.

So what? Obama identifies as black, and an American. That girl who was white identified as black. Transgenders identify themselves as the opposite sex, so just what does this prove? Nothing!

I don't know why people here want to keep thumping on Cruz's eligibility unless to just ruffle feathers of Cruz supporters. The so called issue is a non-issue...The law is very clear... The child of a U.S. citizen born abroad is a natural born citizen...that's the it of it. Cruz'z mother is that...end of story.

Besides Trumps peddling his talking point from Obama's Press Sec. Josh.....Trumps never very cautious about his resources anyway. Just blurts stuff out there.
