Well I’m sure you know as well as I that the Constitution does not lay out a definition of natural born citizen. It only makes the statement that the President must be a natural born citizen while all other offices only require a citizen. The 14th Amendment states all born or naturalized in the United States are citizens. The Constitution also requires Congress defend and punish offenses against the Law of Nations.
The Law of Nations states
“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.
Then there are Supreme Court cases ruling on natural born citizens, one of which is Minor v. Happersett in 1875. It states The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.
I do not see where Ted Cruz fits here at all.

There are many concepts undefined in the Constitution. However, natural born citizenship is defined in the Naturalization Act of 1790 — offspring of two parent citizens
Also, at the time of the Constitution, citizenship descended from the father, and was the case until the 1930s.
Cruz was born in Canada, his mother was a U.S. citizen, his father was not a citizen, he renounced his Canadian citizenship a short time ago, and you want to claim he is a natural born citizen?
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
It does not define Justice, Tranquility, Welfare, Liberty or Posterity. Neither does it define just what a Natural Born Citizen (NBC) is. However at the time the Constitution was written a Natural Born Citizen was defined in Vattelâs "The Law of Nations".
The Marxists favorite trick (after outright lies) is to redefine terms so that the new definition favors their agenda. It saddens me to see Ted adopting their tactic to further his personal ambitions. He knows he is not a NBC.
