The ‘obvious’ poison pill is not obvious at all. Listen to Cruz’s own comments on the his amendment to the Gang of Eight bill. He clearly made the case that he was in favor of bringing illegals ‘in out of the shadows’ and giving them legal status. He was only against giving them citizenship and not ‘securing the border’ first.
Every comment of his, until recently, make the case that he wanted the Gang of Eight bill to pass, as long as his amendment was included. Was he lying? I thought Cruz’s ability to be a straight talker was his greatest strength?
As you are the last person apparently to get the memo...even schumer said he put forth a poison pill... And sessions said that Cruz was firmly in his camp. So are you ignorant, being purposefully obtuse or are you an ideologue, there aren’t other options?
