Really curious as to why he chose to put the podium in front of it. Love to know the psychology behind that decision.
It has to be the teleprompter thing. Sitting makes him looks smaller, if that’s possible, so it probably came down to the PR thing where everyone gives their opinion.
The difference between this man and the field of republicans is staggering. Trump and Cruz have raised the bar whereby no one will ever think of using teleprompters again in from of an audience. Those days are over.
Obama couldn’t come up with a genuine thought or feeling if he tried. Everything is contrived. Everything is rehearsed.
Hillary is probably worse. She’s a terrible campaigner.
Teleprompter? (I didn’t watch, so that may not make sense.)
I think Obama was actually at the Lincoln Center where he was going to attend a party after the speech.
I believe the podium was there, but they inserted a photo of the Oval office as the backdrop.
“Very odd framing of the whole thing. In front of podium which is in front of his desk. The symbolism of the desk has always conveyed an aura of presidential power (I’m in charge)

I am told by someone in DC who would know, don’t ask, that he was not in the White House because there are Christmas decorations all over and he did not want that to show on TV. Ugh!!
