At least 30 people, including three attackers, were killed and at least 80 were injured in a triple suicide bombing blast on an island in Lake Chad, according to reports.
Security officials said the attacks on Saturday were carried out on the island of Koulfoua on the Chadian side of Lake Chad on a busy market day.
Police in Chad said the bombers were all women. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts but officials suspect the attacks were carried out by members of the Boko Haram armed group from neighoubouring Nigeria.
General Banyaman Cossingar, Chad gendarmerie director general, confirmed the attack, saying Boko Haram is suspected, the AP news agency reported.

Most of the women in burkas here are so heavy I don’t think anything else could fit under their costumes! Still...when one is allowed to wear a loose tent always, it will be easy to strap on a bomb and no one will detect it.

Homicide bombers. Suicide bombers would kill themselves only, not others. They are murdering others not just themselves. I really hate that soft term. Calling them suicide bombers doesn’t express the horror they truly are. Killing themselves is simply a by-product of their true intent.
Just imagine for an instance if they had used guns instead of double breasted suicide vests with “mere” explosives. That could have made our (p)resident look like a liar about these things NOT EVER happening outside the U.S. Oh! Never mind.
