This is mostly imaginary, based on what he didn’t say. I’ll pass on that.
Trump has spoken up as to what he wants to do.
Cruz appears to be straddling the fence in typical political fashion.
Come on Cruz... clearly state, where do you stand on ILLEGAL amnesty?
AMNESTY. Cruz still playing games with this question when it is obvious he will give amnesty. He won’t say it because he knows he’d get pillared.
We only assume it’s 11 million. Logic says it’s likely many more. I think it’s at least 5 million in California alone.
Ted, come out and say it one way or the other.
Just today I read where he said Trump was going to fail...The sCruz are coming loose now. Guess what Ted? You’re fired!
To the headline I can only say, “Really? Which 11 million would that be? The first 11 million? The second 11 million? The third 11 million? The fourth...
Even Trump has a plan that lets current illegals become citizens.
No candidate does not have some path to citizenship for illegals.
If Cruz does this, he’s off my list. He purports to uphold the Constitution, and now proposes violating the Rule of Law by granting amnesty to ILLEGAL aliens?
unless there’s a video tape of Cruz saying this I call it bs. The media lies about Conservatives. That is all.
Trump has spent years courting Hillary and other Dems "I mean, I've contributed to Schumer, I contribute - I've known Schumer for many, many years. And I have a good relationship with him. The fact is, that I think it is time maybe that we all do get along," he told Hannity..."
Spoken like a true politician.
How about “I’ll enforce current law and deport them”, Ted?
The only acceptable solution is Trumps', enforce existing immigration law. Build the wall.
Cruz is on the Cheap Labor Express. No doubt.
He has been saying the same thing all along,Secure the border before any discussion on the illegals already here,we all agree the border must be secured, nobody agrees on what to do about the ones here already for decades,so accomplish what we can agree on then move on to the rest, makes sense to me
Hatchet job.
And this is why Cruz is probably not going to zoom past Trump any time soon.
Like OBamaTRADE, Cruz will play it both ways
for Goldmann Sachs and his wife.
As I see it, sadly, whether we like it or not, there will be millions of now-illegal people legalized by the next president. The alternative is to simply permanently deport those people...which would bring our economy to a halt - which is why not even Trump goes that far.
The question is how will this legalization be done. Here’s how I see it:
Trump: They will go home, and then come back under our terms, which, in the best case, could be as guest workers for pre-defined amounts of time, with their families staying home. After they conclude their work, they go home and join their families (and a lot richer). Family visits would be allowed in both directions, but tightly controlled when the family comes to the US. Overstay a visa, job gone and deportation.
Cruz: Technically Cruz could follow Trump’s path, but he’s keeping his options open, with one of those options simply being that they stay (with their families) and get legalized. Of course the problem with that is that in 20 years, we’ll be flooded with millions of new Democrats. Another option is that the breadwinner stays, becomes a guest workers, but the rest of the family has to go home. I don’t see that happening.
Rubio (when he’s not lying) and the rest: Virtually all of them become citizens with 15 years, the only differences being how long until they are citizens and how many more do we invite in (or let slip in).
Trump wins in my book and Cruz is better than the rest.
