The gunman suspected of storming a Planned Parenthood clinic and killing a police officer and two others told the officers who arrested him “no more baby parts,’’ after being taken into custody, according to a law enforcement official.
The attack on the clinic was “definitely politically motivated,’’ the official — who has been briefed on the investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity because it is still unfolding — told The Washington Post. NBC News, which first reported the comment attributed to suspect Robert Lewis Dear, said Dear also mentioned President Obama in a range of statements to investigators that left unclear his precise motivation in targeting the clinic.

I am in the Springs, a mile or so from where this all went down. We’re not talking about dead abortionists here, as none of the staff were injured. We are talking about one dead cop and two others who we know nothing about. That is in no way justified killing, is it hoss?
What was he after, that still is not clear. There’s a difference between purposes and things not going according to plan. (FWIW, it looks like the bank robbery really was the idea and the PP involvement was an afterthought, and the guy could not have cared less about abortions.)
I don’t think it’s really as confused as some are making it out to be.
You won’t find any mention of a bank robbery or anything other than a nutjob entering PP and lighting it up. It appears to me that law enforcement caught him very early, thus focusing his attention and his fire on police. There are multiple witness statements on video both on the Gazette website and on CNN that make it pretty clear what happened. An older white guy with a ponytail and a younger black woman who was in PP when the shooting started and who’s boyfriend may be one of the unidentified dead. Have you seen them?

At the time of Dear Sr’s death,(2004,iirc) Jr lived in NC.
After Dear surrendered there was a Chase employee (bank Pres?) who wanted to come to the scene and talk with LE. It was said he needed to show LE a “hatch”. This was on the scanner and the officer answered No, he couldn’t see him at that moment and to ‘keep him up there’.
So what did that Chase employee want to show him and what is a “hatch”? This was immediately after LE snagged Dear.
This is nagging at me. Anyone else recall this chatter?

How did this guy end up moving from NC to Colorado? So many questions, so few answers. I don’t look for conspiracies, but this is pretty strange.

Facts is facts, and unproven claims of what people heard on a scanner are hardly reliable. Nothing liberal about me, but I’m not making stuff up not relying on seventh hand reports about what people heard. Got a recording, know someone who does? Yeah, didn’t think so.
