Ummmm most GOP nominees actually won Iowa, including President George Bush.
To: Charles Henrickson
At this stage, I’d be surprised if Ted Cruz doesn’t win Iowa. He was all the endorsements that matter, the best ground game in Iowa By far, and is nicely positioned to strike in the polls. He timed it perfectly to start rising at just the right time.

Besides, heâs preachy and comes across unlikeable. Is that why he has won practically every straw poll at every convention he's actually spoken at?
To: Maelstorm
The thing I worry about most is that Cruz will do really well, and the press will start with stories of him being ineligible to be President. At that point the GOPe will climb on board to torpedo his chances instead of fighting for him.

MSM might hope Rubio is the nominee. Rubio definitely is not qualified since both parents were non-citizens. And MSM will make a huge thing out of it.

Maybe if Trump was one of the usual run of the mill candidates we have seen. Of course Trump is not and he’s rewriting how to run a campaign. Actually he’s schooling them all.

H1B was a ruse?! If it was, don't you think Cruz would have pointed that out long ago? No, he agreed with it and only now when it was having adverse impact did he change.
And TPP, he gave Obama fast track on it and Iran. Can't now say the opposite. If he was really against it, he would have voted against it. He's a martyr and doesn't vote for things he doesn't believe in.
And illegal aliens? Cruz repeated said he wouldn't discuss that; in some comments said some for of legal status might be solution. That is amnesty.
Sorry, he owns all three of those.

This subject has been hashed to death Cruz has never came out for the legalization of illegals, the h1-b1 amendment was an amendment to show the hypocrisy of the Dems and GOP-e and get them to show their true colors on immigration, the Iran vote was voted on to put something in place against Iran although Cruz has admitted that it didn't go far enough but it was better than putting nothing in place, and lastly fast track TPA not TPP was voted on by Cruz because he wanted to have the authority to pass trade deals if he or another republican gained the presidency.
I've seen you in these threads you keep spouting the same meme about these Cruz votes despite being corrected numerous amount of times. I'm not going to change your mind with these facts and you aren't going to change mine with your interpretation of Cruz's votes.

Darn, Trump missed those 1,100 people attending the FF.
He had a rally that day with 10,000 people attending and one the next day with 12,000 attending.
FF wasn’t even on the radar. I tried to find it in the news feeds and it didn’t show up.
Lots of evangelicals in those YUGE crowds of 10K - 12K, btw.

I think it will come down to Cruz, Rubio, and Trump as the three finalists for the nomination. I agree. Trump/Cruz 2016!!!
