Apparently you have not noticed that there is an election coming up. The bolder GOP candidates (Trump and Cruz) can and will certainly make sure that people know who wanted the Syrians to come in to the USA. I'd like to see the GOP actually do something to obstruct Obama, but during an election year, they at least made a show of being on the right side of the issue.

I guess my point was, “real” Republucans wouldn’t hesitate to change the filibuster rules in the face of a national security issue. Nobody has the courage except democrats when it suits their purposes. We couldn’t filibuster Obamacare, or at least chose not to. Yes there’s Cruz and others that speak out, but with a Senate majority the “rest” if them, the MAJORITY of them, are mostly silent.
