Israel reportedly bombed a missile base used by President Bashar al-Assadâs regime in Syria near the countryâs border with Lebanon on Sunday, destroying multiple missile warehouses.
âIsraeli planes breached Lebanese and Syrian airspace and bombed the Syrian regimeâs 155th Brigade [base] in the Qutayfa area, destroying a number of missile warehouses,â sources told a pro-rebel news outlet, NOW Syria reported.
A Syrian activist also told the news outlet that Israeli planes âentered Syrian territory from Lebanon at 9:30 p.m. [Sunday] and bombed Scud missile warehouses belonging to the regime.â
âThe planes bombed three warehouses containing Scud missiles at the 155th Brigade [base] in western Qalamounâs Qutayfa area, completely destroying the above-ground [installations],â Ahmad Yabrudi, the activist, stated.

In the sense of anti-establishment doctrine and practice, yes. An observation worth repeating.
The Obama/Ayers crew is locked into civil destruction mode.
Between Russia, the US and Israel, plus Syria, Iran, the Kurds and ISIS, the country is turning to rubble. I suppose with Russia in and the US ambivalent on the topic that Assad will stand and regime change is off the table. But Israel will of course want to assert its right to self defense. Syria is still technically at war with Israel, and Iran is too. Both are supporting terror groups so making sure large caches of weapons don’t go to Hezbullah is a high priority. May help Russia and US too. But man, what a free for all. It is a mad house, so Israel may as well aggressively advance its defensive/counter-offensive posture.
This was a bold statement by Israel to both Russia and the US. This is Bibi speaking in no uncertain terms.
Maybe not ISIS at all. Hezbollah forces are all over that area. It is my belief that it was Hezbollah that deployed the chemical weapons and not Assad forces. I don’t think ISIS has gotten that close to that border region...at least in force...to pose a real threat to Israel...Hezbollah is based in parts of Lebanon if memory serves.
That said, to me they are all the same and must be killed until dead...and then killed again.
circumstance point to “FSA” with weapons supplied by or through Turkey, possibly smuggled from Libya.
Even Turkish politicians now exposing this
FSA had kidnapped many villagers (pro Assad areas) never seen again - possibly the CW victims whose bodies were displayed
many children, no parents, will discover mass graves someday
It was completely in “FSA” benefit to have this CW attack happen to draw the West into supporting them against Assad and entering the war, crossing redline stupidly set by obama
But he pretended it wasn’t happening...
As to Turkey. At this point with the islamists consolidating power; it may be left to the Turkish Military as to which direction that nation is about go. Not unlike the choices the military in Egypt had to make. Turkish generals have the fate of their nation in their hands in my opinion. Let things stay the way they are and within 6 months their nation will either look like Libya or worse Syria...or intervene and hope to be more stable similar to Egypt.
Or....do nothing and hope for the best. My view is that a fracture of Turkey is only a matter of weeks if not days away. The secular/moderate Turks must act quickly or the level of bloodshed will eclipse that of Syria very rapidly.
