The Pentagon is sending F-15Cs—supposedly to fight the ISIS war. But the jets only have air-to-air weapons, and ISIS has no planes. Which means the real adversary is Russia.
The U.S. Air Force is deploying to Turkey up to a dozen jet fighters specializing in air-to-air combat—apparently to help protect other U.S. and allied jets from Russia’s own warplanes flying over Syria.
Officially, the deployment of F-15C Eagle twin-engine fighters to Incirlik, Turkey—which the Pentagon announced late last week—is meant to “ensure the safety†of America’s NATO allies, Laura Seal, a Defense Department spokesperson, told The Daily Beast.
That could mean that the single-seat F-15s and the eight air-to-air missiles they routinely carry will help the Turkish air force patrol Turkey’s border with Syria, intercepting Syrian planes and helicopters that periodically stray into Turkish territory.
But more likely, the F-15s will be escorting attack planes and bombers as they strike ISIS militants in close proximity to Syrian regime forces and the Russian warplanes that, since early October, have bombed ISIS and U.S.-backed rebels fighting the Syrian troops.
Seal declined to discuss the deployment in detail, but hinted at its true purpose. “I didn’t say it wasn’t about Russia,†she said.
Russia’s air wing in western Syria is notable for including several Su-30 fighters that are primarily air-to-air fighters. The Su-30s’ arrival in Syria raised eyebrows, as Moscow insists its forces are only fighting ISIS, but ISIS has no aircraft of its own for the Su-30s to engage.

We now have American fighter planes facing off with Russian SU 30s in an active combat zone in the most volatile flash point in the world , all to protect a bunch of Terrorists we spent 8 years fighting in the war on terror.
There is no way this will end well because it's already started out as a worst case scenario which can only get worse.

Nonetheless, I read your posts. I really, really, really hope this report is just completely wrong.
But with this guy we have as CIC, a Russian airliner down in the Sinai, Turkey weird as usual, I’m just wondering what in the world is going on.

That is exactly what is happening.
Once Assad is gone it’s the perfect place for Hussein’s Caliphate. We are, once again, on the wrong side.

Syria is a perfect way to do so
Syria was the staging ground for Al Qaeda and Saddam era dead enders waging the insurgency in Iraq with the full support of Assad
Bush was training Syrian dissidents in Jordan to take out Assad
When Bush won in Iraq, the al Qaeda insurgents retreated to Syria and decided that if they could not have Iraq then they would settle for Syria
At the same time, the Oil States decided they would like to oust Assad to put in a pipeline so they saw the dead Enders and terrorists as the perfect tools to form a mercenary proxy army to oust Assad and install a Muslim Brotherhood government in Syria
Obama co opted the Bush era anti Assad infrastructure and training programs and twisted them to his purpose as part of his disastrous Arab Spring plan to oust the stable secular Arab old guard leadership and support terrorists instead of fighting them. After all, one mans terrorist is another’s freedom fighter and there is not a lot of ways to background check mercenaries in the region.
A war with Russia would provide immense benefits to the Democrat Party next November. It might well provide cover and pretext for some innovative actions by the newly wartime president.
It appears that Barak Hussein is the head of the Moslem Brotherhood In America.
I suspect strongly that is the case.
