I guess this means Paul, Cruz, Huckabee & Kasich could actually have (-2%)
This too shall pass. We went through this in 2008 and 2012 with several different candidates leading the polls at various times.
IDK, lets ask jeb bush.
Exact.
I don't see Carson being any better. In fact I'd pick Trump over him any day.
Articles says “575 GOP primary voters”
This early in the election (remember, the FIRST primaries aren’t for another three months), the size of Trump’s rallies is more an indicator of the fervency of his supporters—and of his celebrity status—than of where he stands in the polls.
LOL, CBS, home of the faked documents peddled by Dan Rather in 2004, plus the left wing New York Slimes.
WHO wouldn’t question THAT polling?
Oh please, my ribs!
In any given poll, yes, but quite a few polls taken in the past week have movement toward Carson. This one is not an outlier.
If this is your analysis of this particular poll, then to be consistent, you'd have to dismiss previous polls which had Trump up over Carson by 6 or more.
“Bill and Hillary are said to have high intelligence and can certainly talk but I dont want either. “
Yup. If that’s the criteria, Cruz should be dominating. I have no clue why he’s not doing better.
Hitler also had those attributes-it’s WHAT they talk about that matters. Carson talks about amnesty. That’s a deal-breaker for me.
It is less than 600 voters nationwide for a national poll? That’s ridiculous. It’s ‘registered voters’. That’s ridiculous.
It has a margin of error of 7%! That’s beyond ridiculous all the way to totally unprofessional.
They used census figures to weight it to the ‘adult’ US population? Even that’s ridiculous since the census includes democrats, republicans, independents, communists, Nazis, and every other “ism” you can think of.
It needs to be weighted to a REPUBLICAN poll determining the age, sex, religion, etc. of REPUBLICAN likely voters.
And even in this idiotic poll, 26-22, the margin of error says that Trump could be leading this by 28-19, what most national polls with any kind of legitimate sample size are getting.
Finally, in our era ‘landline/cell phone’ is not good enough. I intentionally have only a cell phone, and I intentionally will not answer any call that doesn’t have the name already in my address book so that the name pops up. If they don’t leave a message, or if they leave a message I’m not interested in, then I don’t get back with them.
They have discovered how easy it is to manipulate polls against Trump by manipulating female and evangelical numbers.

Sorry, not dice. Carson doesn’t have the same qualities of passion and fight that drew people to Trump. There’s no logical explanation or scenario that sustains the illusion of the transition of support. So...BS!
—— I have no clue why hes not doing better-—
it is quite simple
he is too conservative for the mass of conservatives making the selection for the primary
Trump...Carson
Both of them are not politicians. That is most telling.
While others may guffaw at Trump “falling” in the polls, this is an indictment of establishment politicians in general.
Unfortunately, Ted Cruz is considered an establishment politician as evidenced by these polls.
I just noticed that the Today show is megaphoning this poll as if it came down from on high. I am sure they won’t be alone.
what is the problem with it?
I heard Carson is running a lot of ads, especially in Iowa. Is Trump running ads? If not, he should.
