Conservative lawmakers in Russia are considering amending an already controversial two-year-old article that punishes individuals who “propagate homosexuality” to children. The amendment to this article would make publicly coming out as gay an administrative violation punishable by up to 15 days in jail or a fine of 5,000 rubles, which amounts to about $80.

Jail time in Russia, show time in the US.

Seems like every week lately, Russia is a better run country than our dear Republic. It’s nice to see a government treat homosexuality as the mental illness it is.

15 days in jail or a fine of 5,000 rubles for being a fag?

I disagree.

It should be both, fined and treated.

There should be consequences for inappropriate behavior. Many people with mental defects act out with criminal behavior.

Think of it this way, who’d you rather have as a neighbor, a thief, where you’d have to lock up your possessions, or a homo, where you’d have to lock up your young boys????

With that said, I think the Russian penalty is not enough.

It’s just good to see someone in this whole wide world with some moral integrity.

This is wrong.

Please understand what "coming out" means in today's perverted society. It mean public endorsement and ADVOCACY, as has been demonstrated here. The proposed Russian regulation would not, could not, criminalize private conversations between people who come out as queer to family and friends.

The proposed law is proper and NECESSARY. It's what we should have here.

I think many of us are beginning to understand why “what they did behind closed doors” could still be criminally prosecuted. As long as they were playing defense on that front, they couldn’t be playing offense everywhere else.

>>My guess is...

...the Russian Orthodox Oprichni (KGB) Secret Police know a historical thing or two about the natural cycle described in Romans 1:25+.

Which of course is why they seek to inflict strategic demoralization upon anybody who opposes their state-establishment.
