1. The idiot bank doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the word severance; a severance which they have executed.
2. If they thought about it for more than 5 seconds, the idiot bank might realize it’s probably a bad idea to try and force work out of a terminated employee without compensation; especially when that work involves giving the employee access to the computer systems.
3. The idiot bank also didn’t consider the tremendous bad PR this sort of move generates,
Incredible brass and stupidity isnt it?
HR,go figure.
So the only thing that “severance” means these days is that you’re being bribed to do something against your self interest.
As for the consultancy period, isn’t that bordering on classification issues if they’re not employees, yet being directed as employees?

So how about letting yourself be “called back” and treat the bank to a “unfortunate complete crash” of it’s entire computer system. Call it an “Edward Snowden Moment!”
