Sumte, Germany (dpa) - You can pass through Sumte in 50 seconds, assuming you stick to the speed limit. The German village's main road is only 800 metres long and has three bends. Then you're back in the fields and avenues of the local countryside of the flat Elbe marshes.
The village consists of beautiful old farmhouses, a moss green building made of prefab concrete slabs dating from East German times, a fire station and a bus stop. It doesn't have a pub or a village shop. Forget about a discount supermarket.
Outside the village, horses are grazing opposite an abandoned office building. Soon, it will be home to to 1,000 asylum seekers, the interior ministry of Lower Saxony announced at a recent citizens' assembly. The building is to serve as an emergency shelter for a year.
"One thousand refugees - that's too much for Sumte," says Mayor Christian Fabel. Two to three hundred would be more appropriate, he thinks.
"The closest supermarket is in Neuhaus, that's 4 kilometres away - for a 1,000 refugees. Public transport barely exists. Local buses are few and far between - we're in the back of beyond here."

And when Merkel's henchmen ask about the wreckage and bulldozer tracks, every last villager says, "Don't know anything about that. Didn't see anything. Don't know anyone who say anything."

The town will no longer be German after the "refugees" arrive. Sumte will simply be an islamic town that happens to be located in north central Europe.
The only thing the original inhabitants of Sumte need to "fret" about is how to sell their houses, and then get out of town.
Merkel is waging war on Germany.
