The Turkish Kurds were marching and holding their peace rally because the Muslim Brotherhoodish government of Erdogan has been waging war on their brothers in Iraq.
Those Kurds have been fighting IS.
Erdogan is short a majority in the Parliament after recent elections and needs “Turkish Nationalist” support to maintain power.
I think Erdogan may be trying to provoke the Kurds to violence against him so he can ban the Kurdish Party in the parliament and or elections. Erdogan could reconfigure parliament and maybe get his majority if Kurds don’t have a party to vote for.
