I do not know whether to believe his story or not. There was heavy suspicion that Osama was killed at Tora Bora in 2002 after the U.S. dropped a cluster of bombs.
I have always suspected that Osama died near that time, but his presence was alluded to in fuzzy films whenever GW Bush and later Obama wanted to justify being at war in the middle east. Eventually, the specter of Osama had outlived it’s usefulness, allowing Barack to ‘kill’ Osama again, and for the last time. Why else would they have done this burial at sea in the dead of night. Never showing any photos of their big catch. No, it doesn’t pass the smell test.
I watched the Fox News documentary on him and was impressed, but I was fully aware that it was just his word on the matter. I don’t recall anyone else contributing or backing up the story.
If the US had faked his death, wouldn’t they have made it look like a flawless mission? Why crash a stealth helicopter on a fake raid? Why set up the raid into a slightly hostile nation, why not do a fake raid into a part of Afghanistan? And why would team members risk the legal consequences of sending out smiling pictures with the body for a Wag the Dog scenario? Bin Laden died in that compound with a round to his forehead, just over one eye.
For crying out loud, why is it so damned important to turn everything into a conspiracy?
There are very clear answers to each of your questions if you bother to look.
The Bin Laden hit went down just as advertised and he was buried at sea to avoid creating a shrine.
You wouldn’t be any more convinced with photo’s of the body.
I don’t think this Seal would lie about killing Bin Laden. The government would lie...but not this guy after he’s out of the military.
But I don’t understand why he gave himself a high profile knowing there are jihadists in the US, thanks to our government’s love affair with radical Islam (the M. Brotherhood) and our wide open borders.
