MOSCOW -- Russian jets carried out a second day of strikes in Syria Thursday, as a senior U.S. politician and activists claimed the targets included rebels backed by the United States.

"I can absolutely confirm to you that they were strikes against our Free Syrian Army recruits that have been armed and trained by the CIA, because we have communications with people there," Republican Sen. John McCain, who is head of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in an interview with CNN, according to the Reuters news agency.

Looks like they took out the CIA’s support base in eastern Syria.

The leader was claiming they got hit by 20 Russian Missiles in two separate strikes, on Twitter.

Neither Obama nor McCain will stand up to Putin.

Hey, talk’s cheap.

All that has been accomplished by backing those revolutionaries is the creation of ISIS.

That must be some pretty accurate bombing since there’s only 2 or 3 of them.

Well, don’t want to be a prepper or nothing like that.

That’s just crazy. Everything is fine in the world, just fine.

Those rebels went into Christians Towns and took them over, basically holding the Christians hostage. Typical muzzie behavior.

Well It’s not like Putin’s hasn’t repeatedly said all along, and that clearly and numerous times...he was “invited” into Syria to assist by the sitting President.....so dah!

I believe the net result of training soldiers was 8...at a cost of $500,000.

But....weren't rebels trained, armed and financed by the US defecting and turning over their weapons to ISIS and other radical groups? Are we supposed to forget last week's news?

Is this the first time the US has admitted to being behind all of the "local protests" in the Mideast or Ukraine for that matter?

The Free Syrian Army consists of ISIS corpses. Whenever one of them dies, he was one of the good guys. You know, preparing for college while working on his hip-hop career.

Two years ago those “rebels backed by the United States” included ISIS. The current crop is no better and certainly worse than Assad. Looks to me like Russia is just taking out the trash.

Might as well say Assad and Putin are on ISIS’s side, no proof of them being bombed.

I think you're missing a few zeroes - the cost was $500,000,000.

I saw the video on one incoming.....”Allah akbar” they yelled from inside their bunker house...as they crept out to see where it hit right next to their building........I'd call those precision strikes for sure.
