“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

Luke 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

How does the head of the Catholic Church come to the center of the Western World and not mention Jesus Christ and how he saves you from sin? This is what happens to everyone who promotes the cult of Marxism, they are overwhelmed and everything else is placed in a lesser position which includes God. It is really pretty sad what has happened to the Church with this Pope and the direction he is driving it.

The most obvious cult worship Pope Marxist is following is Global Warming. Just like evolution you have to believe the theory of GW by faith and not by logic and proof. There is no proof that there is any GW and most of the data point towards Global Cooling which is why they changed the name to Climate Change whatever that means. This is a form of worship since you have to believe there is Climate Change without being able to look at some form of cause and effect, only theory and following.

The Pope took his podium in the middle of America and lectured us on why we need to make drastic changes to protect the world from Climate Change. He has no idea or proof it is happening, only his blind obedience to science. This is not the role of the Pope he is a spokesman for God and Jesus Christ. He has turned his back on God and is following man. We did not hear him telling America to change its path and follow Jesus Christ, we heard about stopping Global Warming to save the world.

Liberalism and Marxism is a cult. It is a works based cult which follows man made tenets. Within the Church is the belief in Social Justice which says that everyone should give away their riches for the poor. This theory is pure Socialism that the successful have to feel guilty for their success and have their wealth taken from them. What these priests do not understand is that it is up to the individual to decide what he should give up outside of the tithe. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the wealthy must give up their wealth only to help the poor. The church is to be a conduit for helping the poor, but the Social Justice priests believe the gummit should be allowed to do that.

Just like Evolution and Global Warming there is no proof whatsoever the gummit has ever helped the poor. Just like those cultish beliefs there is more proof of them causing more poverty than solving it? You only need to look at the poor countries to see an overbearing, corrupt Marxist regime over and over to realize that Social Justice does not work. In spite of all of the proof the Pope follows it fundamentally like most of his Priests and many of the Protestant pastors.

The main problem with Social Justice is who decides what is Just? Who decides what the right amount of wealth is and what is not, man? Whenever you have man deciding the right amount or what is too much you are following the wrong path. When you put your faith in man you are walking away from God and towards deception. Man is corruptible as we have seen over and over again and Social Justice is just another form of man being in control rather than God.

The Catholic Church has a Pope which is not by all appearances not following God, but is following man. This is the oldest battle on the planet and we have seen the results of it over and over again. The liberal cult is easy to follow since it is so seductive. It sounds so attractive to have everyone making the same and not being too much wealth or saving the earth from environmental catastrophe when none of those things are real. Just as it sounds wonderful to be tolerant of everyone, you have to be intolerant of those who disagree, so too does the Pope has to be intolerant of those who disagree with him which he deflects with his position.

The truth is the Pope has no political authority and only a moral authority given to him by the Church. He is only given his platform because he is the highest position in the largest church in the world. He is given a moral authority because his Church worshiped Jesus Christ for 2000 years and what he should have kept his words to. If he wants to preach a man made cult he can join one of millions of political voices preaching this cult rather than mixing the two. He has decided to use his position as a soapbox for Marxist activism which diminishes his authority.

He would have gained stature if he would have fought for the issues Christians have always fought for. He never mentioned that Jesus Christ died for your sins so you would not have to. He failed to mention that Jesus gave us a path to God and heaven through the perfect sacrifice which was a symbol of God’s prefect mercy for absolute forgiveness of our sins. You would think the only real reason for a Pope is spreading the word of God and saving people from the world not being part of the world. He has the moral authority given to him from worshiping God which is who he should have been lifting up. His not mentioning the sanctity of life as well as the abomination that it represents when God has ordered us not to kill is where his lectures should have been pointed. How could he lecture us on immigration when what many Christians are fleeing around the world is death and violence from Mooselimb terror another man made cult which preys on the weak?

Now we had another political hack come to the District of Corruption to lecture America about our shortcomings. Pope Francis is nothing more than any other leftist who believes his politics more than God. He brought no other words of value other than the token cliché of love your brother as yourself. There were no challenges to change your lives and country to follow God only more childish man made proclamations. He was no more trustworthy than Obama and for the most part sounded just like him with a thick Spanish accent. It is so sad to see someone who had a real opportunity to plant seeds into a lost generation but was too involved with his own Socialist dogma to be a candle to help enlighten God’s Holy Word.

Pray America wakes

Morning AB, All,

Am singing at 10 am mass but will return with commentary, snark and yuks.

Busy, busy week, this week passed. First there’s the Pope….and to begin, I have one thing to say to him…..SHUT UP AND SAY MASS!

Okay, whew, got that off my chest.

Second there’s the resignation of Speaker Boehner, hope he does not cry on his way out.

Now as to the Pope, obviously I have mixed emotions all over the place. I am a Catholic and there is, inevitably, the pride at seeing the titular head of my church so much a part of the American news scene during his visit. Yes it was a slow news week and CNN, Fox, et al, were in a frenzy to obtain coverage. But you don’t see Baptist ministers….Lutheran, even the liberals’ Episcopalian types, getting all this attention.

I’m jus’ sayin’.

But the man talked about immigrants, global warming, women and dear Lord, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, THE POOR! Can’t have too many poor, gotta love the poor, go find me some poor and let’s love them up.

Here’s my theory…..the left has made being black such an attention getter that you got white people pretending to be black that they too may lead protests and gain recognition a la Martin Luther King.

Well now we’ll have people pretending to be poor that the Pope may love and bless them as well.

I should think being poor should be easier then pretending to be black if now born that way. Although somebody should tell the Pope that the “poor” in America almost always have TV’s, Internet, a car, a nice place to live, food stamps, free medical care…..heh….hey Pope Francis….here’s another tidbit, don’t tell anybody I said it:

Most of these “poor” people choose this lifestyle and it ain’t half bad for not having to work or anything. That’s adults and only American adults of which I speak. I suppose in your native Argentina the poor are worse off, not that people living in Argentina don’t have choices either.

Anyway, thank you AB, as always, for doing this thread. And thank you yon commenters, your input helps set my head straight.

Thanks again for your efforts, AB. I really can’t understand why Cruz is not on these programs more. It’s not like he’s not running for the presidency or something.

I’m guessing the Pope and Boehner will dominate the programs today. And, perhaps, the existence of more Hillary emails. Maybe.

I am a Catholic but I’m not offended by what you wrote, Bray. However, I am deeply saddened in that I have to agree with you.

Pope Francis is a political Leftist.

Just keep in mind that we do not hate America just because Obama is the president, so the same applies to my Church.

We want to SAVE both of them!!!

These networks are scared to death of Trump and Cruz, so they won’t interview them unless they absolutely have to.

I’m sure the Hillary interview will be hard hitting. Yeah right. Instead of asking about the emails, Benghazi or any of a number of failures or out and out criminality, she will probably be asked where she bought her pantsuit.

Frankly I laffed all week at the comments of, er....the Protestants among us. Some called him the “Puke”, many complained that he did not mention Jesus in his address to congress, scores complained that this Pope does not speak for them.

But I didn’t get offended because hey, I am Catholic too and I he weren’t the head of my church I’d be complaining just as much.

It’s been a hell of a week for the pope an my wish is that this oountry is well-stocked with low-information voters. I’m hoping they watched all the pageantry, the kissing of the babies, and the Pope....who really did work hard this week, whose picture should be under the word “POPE”, who loves all the poor, the women, the immigrants, the Syrians, and the Communists.

Two people he cited as exempliary Catholics: Dorothy Day wrote:

In the Catholic Worker in May 1951, Day wrote that Marx, Lenin, and Mao Tse-Tung “were animated by the love of brother and this we must believe though their ends meant the seizure of power, and the building of mighty armies, the compulsion of concentration camps, the forced labor and torture and killing of tens of thousands, even millions.”

And Thomas Merton, another pretty much nothing burger who wrote a bunch of Communist crap.

Like I say, the pope needs to SHUT UP AND SAY MASS.

It occurred to me over the last week that what is lacking this election cycle is that the Democrats don’t have their own version of Donald Trump, which is the only reason Hillary is not sinking off the page as fast as JEB. The question would be, who would be the Dem answer to Trump.

Great comments this morning.

The story that caught my eye is this one. Leave it to Democrats to bask in hypocrisy.
