Shame on these governmental thugs.   To paraphrase Psalm 109:8, "Let their days be few; and let others take their offices".

May God bless, keep, strengthen, and sustain Kim Davis in her completely righteous and justified civil disobedience to these evil court rulings and their freedom-smashing aftermath.

The moment you concede the government has an interest in marriage and can lawfully act on that interest, the nature of marriage is determined by the government - and that is the very basis of the government action which has so many here in a rage. Granting the power to government creates the potential for abuses such as this which would not exist otherwise.

If there’s one mistake which is common to almost everyone in politics today, it’s assuming that giving power to the government will never result in that power being used in a way they do not like, even though it always does, every single time.

Embrace limited government. It’s the conservative thing to do.

Some have proposed the idea of recognizing households, which would be far fairer in many ways. There would not even need to be sexual relations going on or implied for that.

Appeasement.

Yup, and Rosa Parks should have just gotten off the bus and walked.

Sometimes, ya gotta just stand for something.

She won’t quit, cannot be fired, yet refuses to do her job. Nothing in her job description says her opinion on a marriage matters. Many Christians object to a divorce person remarrying. Should a county clerk get to refuse to issue marriage licenses to someone who has been divorced?

I don’t LIKE the law about homosexual marriage, but she is not endorsing homosexual marriage by issuing a license. A license only says that the people involved have met the requirements under the law. It says NOTHING about God’s approval.

She deserves punishment. How does she differ from a reporter who refuses to testify? They go to prison for being in contempt.

As a government official, her opinion is irrelevant. Issuing a license does NOT mean she approves - just that it meets the law. If she is not willing to follow the law about her job, then she should quit.

Courthouse will almost certainly have holding cells. She won’t have to be moved.

Suppose a group of persons decides to “marry” each other and that group of persons is 10,000 individuals. What do you think about that?

Judge Bunning said Ms. Davis would be released once she agreed to comply with his order and issue the marriage licenses.

Christians need not apply for gummit jobs.

or jobs with the military, or jobs with private companies accepting FedGov funding, or schools, or with companies associated with companies accepting FedGov funding

The government boot it on our throat. You must die or comply.

Make this another reason why a growing number of Americans are angry. An out of control government that incarcerates people on its own whim.

Rule of law, my ass.

“Heavy handed for sure, but she works for the state, and should have simply quit, or allowed someone else to do what she didnt want to.

No she shouldn’t have. The Other 50 state officials should have told the Supreme court to go F*** themselves. We should have had universal defiance.”

We need to see how much religious freedom is left in this country. In some parts of the country, medical interns were being forced to perform abortions to graduate. The government wants complete control over all our lives. This woman is a true hero.

No food in or out. Cut the power. Cut the sewer. Cut the water.

They’ll move her.

This is what happens when Homos have too much power..its bad enough they can already “Marry” but they want to FORCE Americans who disagree with their perverted lifestyle to look them in the face and “marry” them its DISGUSTING..welcome to Obama’s Commie America where NO ONE has any rights

There is a reason that History dealt with them by locking them up and killing them. When they are not spreading disease or molesting children, they are perverting everything they can.

All those things you mention came about because irresponsible “Americans” wanted someone else to pay for everything;and they voted for whomever promised the most free goodies.

It takes a real powerful government to deliver thooodies to their voters because they need the power to take stuff from others.

So she is held until she submits? What country is this again?

I know - I have never in my life heard of a judge ordering something like this - this is oppression on the order of pagan Rome. Wicked laws we have, people going to jail, etc. but no trial? No defined judgement ? Just you go to jail until you do as I say?

We have lost our country!

Sent to the camps to be re-educated.

She was foolish to show up to a kangaroo court-- she should have forced them to try to arrest her at the courthouse.

I no longer pledge allegiance to this country. I am in rebellion.

I do, because it is the Government I am at war with, not My Country.

Might I suggest that you too are in fact rebelling against you Government, which is clearly no longer for the people and not your Country?

And I will reiterate, fighting for God is the noblest war of all.
