Last night Donald Trump welcomed Megyn Kelly back from vacation with this tweet:

Today Roger Ailes accused Donald Trump of “verbal assault” and defended controversial Megyn Kelly’s debate performance.
Fox News CEO released a statement on the attacks by Trump Tuesday: “Donald Trump’s surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing. Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at Fox News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise,”
Ailes statement reads. “I could not be more proud of Megyn for her professionalism and class in the face of all of Mr. Trump’s verbal assaults.
Her questioning of Mr. Trump at the debate was tough but fair, and I fully support her as she continues to ask the probing and challenging questions that all presidential candidates may find difficult to answer,” Ailes said.
Enter the Donald: Here is his response:
“I totally disagree with the FOX statement. I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist. I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair. Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as FOX deserves. ” Trump said. Trump said that what’s more important are his high poll numbers.

Sorry Ailes but you unleashed your attack dog Kelly on Trump with a personal vindictive attack instead of real political questions. At the very same time Kelly gave soft ball questions to your boy.... Jeb all night.
Ailes constructed the whole Kelly scam. He should take the fall.

Yeah...I think Ailes sent Kelly out to kill a grizzly and instead the grizzly hit back and is still out there causing havoc. Fair and balanced....yeah...right.

Rumor has it Hume and Kelly are having an affair, and Hume was behind her getting the slot. No idea if it is true, but that is the rumor I heard.

You do understand that Fox is in the business of selling advertizing, and it is totally in the best interest of Ailes and his company to keep this “feud” going as long as possible don’t you? More feud = more viewers = more money.

What attack is humpty dumpty Ailes talking about. There was nothing wrong with Trump saying he enjoyed Kelly’s show better with Shannon Bream hosting. Most men would. She’s a better reporter, a hell of a lot more professional with guests and better looking to boot. Maybe Ailes is talking about Trump retweeting the “bimbo” comment. Still it’s nik-picky and Trump certainly was not attacking Bloody Kelly. I like the way Trump stands up for himself when he’s belittled and treated like a stooge and that’s exactly what Bloody Megyn and Charles Stirewalt did last night when they started praising Bush’s plan and panning Trump’s.
Trump totally owns these clowns. The amount of free publicity and media face-time he gets is insane! The man’s a genius.
